Greetings. I am serious about buying a 2013 Judge and there are two available in my area. First off I am in my mid 60's and comfort is a huge issue for me. The bars are a bit of a reach and I am wondering about the comfort of them an hour or so into a ride. Would like to know if you like the stock bars and if not what did you change them with? Also, how is the stock seat. The problem with test rides is almost anything is comfortable for a half hour. So seeking your input. Thanks.

Hello Martin. I gotta tell you the Judge is definitely a nice motorcycle. The reach for the bars does indeed get uncomfortable on longer rides though. After about an hour or so my shoulders start to knot up a bit. Most dealers offer the pull back bars as a free upgrade when you purchase it. At least they were offering that last year. As far as the seat goes, I am fairly comfortable in mine, although I've rode in more comfortable seats before. The bars on a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give them a 4, the seat would get a 6. Overall I love the bike and am happy with mine. I am changing the bars this season though.

I know some guys where swapping out for the Hammer bars, for the pull back. I just so happen to have a set that I'd be willing to trade for? I only had them on the bike for 1000 kms and are mint!

Love my Judge. My first thought was "these bars gotta go", 10,000 clicks later and I love them. I'm 5'10. Show room floor it felt like a reach but as soon as I got on the road, a slight lean into the wind and they're great. But vegas bars were offered to me when i bought it. Im glad I declined. Now I'm a few years younger than you so that may have something to do with my ability to sacrifice a bit more for the style I was going for. My sore back hasn't yet screamed "function over form!" at me yet. As for the seat comfort. Longest Ive road in a day is about 1000km. Felt fine after. However I should mention that my point of reference for the past 8 years was a KLR650. Anything will beat those dirt bike seats. So my ass may be a bit jaded. It loves the judge seat. Zero complaints keeping her stock (well exept for those pipes). Let us know how she goes!

I did a 600 mile weekend ride on a 13 Judge (in OZ you get a bike for 2 days, unlimited miles and $200 to stay in a Best Western hotel)
Riders seat I found okay but not as good as my Vegas and my pillion passenger had bruises on her arse from the back seat (Theres some lousy roads here tho)
Bars could do with pullbacks a few inches, a set of Vegas bars would do the trick also Vegas pegs are a couple inches further forward.
Those points have been addressed on the 14 Judge so I hear.
Or you could get a tuff set of Burleigh Bars like mine in black powdercoated 304 stainless, check my pix.
So pullbacks, forward pegs, and the seat is fine, get it breathing right as well and you'll be laughing:)

I bought the 2014 Judge. I highly suggest it. In 2014 they pulled the bars back and moved the foot pegs forward. Which to me made a HUGE difference to comfort. I have ridden mine for 3 hours up the coast and haven't had any problem. I couldn't do the aggressive position of the 2013 and before models.

Congrats on the new ride!!! I searched for a leftover 2013 because I wanted the mid mount pegs. The reach felt extreme on the showroom floor, but like BK said, once on the road, it felt very natural. But.. I am coming off of a sport bike. I have only had my judge for about 2 weeks, but I love it more and more with each ride!!!!
