Has anyone here lowered the Cross Roads? If so I would like to know how it has worked out for you. Also, whose lowering link did you use. My local dealer is not interested in even talking about lowering these bikes for some reason. Any feedback from someone who has knowledge in this area would be great. I don't want to mess up a great bike but I have some short legs. Have already had the seat customized.

I have not lowered my XR but I have looked into it. XR/XC use the same lowering link as Visions so you may get feedback from Vision owners.

I only found two vendors:
Arlen Ness http://www.arlenness.com
Heavy Metal Designz http://www.hmd520.com/

I can't tell you which is better or who is cheaper but maybe the links will help you.

I have lowered my vision and like it.
Here was you have to do or keep in mind.
More air in the rear shock. You'll have to decide how much. You have to go slow going out drive ways with drop offs or going in. Speed bumps and deep pot holes. Running a ribbon road you might not lean as far as you would like. You'll have to get a bent kick stand and lower the front end and re adjust your head light.
Heavy Metal in Az has all the parts at a good price.
Every time you get on the bike tell your self your lower and before you know it it will second nature. The ride is the same as before and the comfort comes along.
Despite what outers will tell you I don't think you'll be sorry.
