Looking for info before spring comes here in Canada if anyone has played with the TRO2 Autotune in the Maximus on a Magnum/Cross bike with VM1-dr Cams,Lloydz air filter,freedom true duels an under drive gear. All Technoresearch offers is a stage 1 map, talked to the tech guy he says just ride and record from that map and run autotune but i am thinking its not going to tune very well since my mods are far from stock.

It will make suggested maps based on your AFR table presets. It will take several reflashes and several mobile dyno sessions to get closer. The TRO2 kit is only for tuning purposes so you will end up replacing it with your original O2 sensors when done tuning.

Make sure you save each file with unique names before each reflash. This way if you feel you are going in wrong direction, you can alway reflash back. Also, make sure you air calibrate your O2’s on the TRO2 kit before using.

So how do u know what to set the AFR tables at or just use the tables from the stage 1 tune, also how do u now what timing to start off with. Thanks

That is the beauty of doing it yourself. You set when and where you want to be rich or lean. Same goes for timing. Keep in mind, no two bikes are the same.

Stage one is a good starting point.

Paying a skilled remote tuner like Ryan Randall at 801motoworx make the process pretty painless.

He has a minimum of 400-500 tunes under his belt.

Noe; I'd just like to thank you for your great input on this new kind of tuning stuff most of us don't quite understand fully yet. It's much appreciated.

Glad you're staying busy and picked up the contract for taking care of the Houston PD bikes. Awesome.

It sounds like paying someone like Ryan Randall would be money well spent to get it right but only after all the mods are done. I guess it could be done between mods but that could get really expensive. Then again sometimes a mod just doesn't work out the way we thought or a better option turns up.

It would always make more sense to do all mods just before tuning with any fuel controller. Do it once and save time and money in the long run. But do understand when money is in short supply and have to do it in small increments.
