I had some previously and they were almost straight on for my liking.
They do have a curve to them. So straight on gave the best results?

One thing about the fork-mounted deflectors is you can use that angle to your engine's advantage such as during the summer you can have the outer edge more forward which will deflect more air to the motor. Some people just take them off in the summer but I found them to help with the wind coming up from below so I use them year round.

In the cooler months they can be straight or slightly angled back so most the wind it deflects goes out and around the riders legs.

If you can find the aftermarket deflectors someone was making for a while that use the MS brackets; you might give them a try. They were $27 new. Maybe WD can be urged to make these.

If you're running the tubular crash bars you can use the adjustable fairing wings and the fork lowers together to get some pretty good wind management results.



For a while I ran the bike without any crash bars and it does look good like that BUT, and that's a 'big but', you risk trashing the fairing if the bike is even just dropped. Much worse if there's a slide involved.

Well......that was so far the bast $100 I've spent on the bike!! The buffeting is gone. I was just riding with my helmet visor open and the air didn't try to remove the visor! No more blurred vision at all. The clamps are off and painted black waiting for them to dry.

Vin glad to hear your buffeting is gone. Just my comment but when I had mine on, I had them turned the other way so the curve on the one end was up at the fairing and the narrower portion down low..just my thoughts.

Wouldn't it be funny if they worked better the way you have them. We would all have to change ours.

I just made a replacement deflector today for the one that got broken in my crash on October 31st. of last year. Came out real nice.

I flipped them and the clamps were dry so we'll see how they do. I can't imagine they would do anything but work good especially having the wide part at the top. These deflectors are looong and just barely fit.

They do look better having the small side down.

Oh! I didn't know they came out with long ones like that. Smart to paint the clamps black too. If they are too long you can cut them down with a scroll saw or a fine tooth band saw - carefully. Then sand and buff the edges.

I might do that for now I'm just going to see how they work.

Boy, those things do look big.
They really aren't that big the photos are deceiving but they are long. When the shock compresses the deflector misses the lower forks by maybe 1/8" just like turning the front wheel the deflectors miss the crash bar by 1/8".

Yep. Those fit the bike pretty well. Much better than the smaller ones they had before. Do they still list the smaller kind? No need to look it up if you don't know.
Yea man don't know. These I swear were made for the Cross Country they are a snug fit everywhere but hit nothing and rub nothing.
