after all the chatter on here about spark plug leads I bit the bullet a coupla days ago.
Theres a guy in our muscle car club who operates a dyno tuning and genera race car fabrication business across the street from my workshop.
I pulled the leads off my Vegas and asked him about making me some leads up.
I can only ride one bike at a time so disabling the Vegas aint a problem...and really riding the performace enhanced XC is my choice right now, for comfort and more extreme cornering ,
its just a total joy馃槑
Evidently our coil ends of the wires are same as LS1 Chev, so with some Aeroflow LS1 fittings and Aeroflow spark plug ends as well as some red MSD 8.5mm wires it was just a waiting game.
Aaron runs a very quick Torana at the drags and as this weekend is the big one of the year, the Winternationals and he was away qualifying I really didnt expect my leads till Monday though he did say try him Friday, today that is downunder...
You guys will hate this but youre almost a full day behind us馃榿LOL!
Anyway all jokes aside after a mates funeral today ( emphysyma) I needed to go riding through the hills to put things in perspective.
Notbin like a funeral to drive home ones mortality!
Anyway after a fantastic ride going easy cos of damp patches on road.
I got back to find my leads all done, so I wasted no time fitting them.
First my Vegas and it aint been started for a few weeks...the Thunder is is burst into life was positively something!
In the confines of my shed the RPW Slash pipes reverberated an unholy caucopheny as I let it idle up to temp while I started swapping the XC leads over.
After 5 mins I blatted it up to 3K a coupla times and the sound was magic to my ears.
Didnt ride the Vegas today as Im coming down with a really dreadful cold...and wet roads and well you know how it is.
So I took the saner XC for a run , got a few corms of garlic as well as garlic oil and made the spaghetti bol from hell.
Maxed out on garlic onions, chilli powder it was a feed as extreme as my bike.
The effect of the leads could be psychological bur the Vegas leads have done just on 100K miles and the XC 60K miles.
Whatever..they feel effin good!馃槇

Well at $100 Aust. for 2 sets of top shelf leads I couldnt go wrong!
Less than half what he quoted me..
Must be doing well in the qualifying and racing as one of his workers rang him at the track to see how much I had to pay.

Nice that you have somebody who can make up your wires to your specs.
I put some ThunderVolts on my XC a couple months ago. it seems to start a little quicker and run a little better. Better Spark, Better Explosions.

Yeah thats for sure basically similar price to Witchdoctors without the lousy exchange rate Aussie dollar to USD, and the freight costs and the long wait ( I hate waiting)and now the import tax on everything that comes in.
Yeah its a win, win, win, situation for sure!
and I got sexy red leads!:grin

You know those sexy red leads need some sexy red MSD coils right? No sense in half stepping the ignition system, right?

You're welcome, and, congratulations on those sexy red leads.

Same on the Thundervolts...they do seem to make it feel like there is less resistance to the 'splosion process
