Well I did it now..:D....I went and made a offer on this 2010 CR and he accepted it...thumb up
I will be picking it up within the next 3 weeks and taking it to my buddies shop and probably do some mods before Spring gets here

What do I want for exhaust?
I'm used to Vance & Hines on my Yamaha, anything out there
even close to these for the XR

Thanks to those that had input

Very nice! Congrats! cheers

If it's in your budget, I recommend D&D's for unmatched fit & finish, great sound. If price is too high, there are other great choices, including drilling the end plate, which is probably the best bang for the buck when it comes to liberating more sound out of your mufflers.

Thanks

Are the D&D's louder(more aggresive) than the others(Bassani,WD's...ect)
The D&D's are slip-ons?

Nice ride. Use the Search Function on here, it will help you find the answer to questions that have been asked a whole bunch like exhausts, fuel programmers, tires, oil, etc.

Not sure what direction you are looking to go with "Mods". My goal was efficency translating to power and reliability.

I am sure you realize that you need to balance the in and out of the engine. Opening up the Exhaust needs to be balance by more Air and then more fuel or better timing of delivery.

Things I found out that worked are:
Lloydz Air filter hi flow.

Lloyds Timing wheel helpped pick up the bottom end torque

D&D slipon pipes, Nice sound without be annoyingly loud.

Dyno tuned PCV but a competent Vic tuner. My case KMC.

nice find enjoy the ride.

The only thing I'm really undecided on at this time is the exhaust.I don't mind it a little loud....I currently have a Yamaha with Vance&Hines and I like it...

Congrats! You made a great choice. Awesome bike!
Thanks....I hope I made the right choice....

What are my choices for passenger backrest?
According to the website these will not fit a 2010 CR
