I haven't. This is my first experience with LED lighting. Is there a preferred brand/size of equalizer?

Yer flasher (blinker) is a semiconductor device.
As such it "looks" for a certain load at output.
Incandescent lamps, by design, are a resistive device so intrinsically present a "load" on the flasher outputs.
LEDs pretty much are a semiconductor non-loadin' device.
There are LED load generatin' flashers from Radianz to Witch Doctor.
They comfortably replace the 'xistin' flasher and work well.
I've got a LED turn-signal strip and "V" shaped turn-signal on the back of my VV.
As soon as I installed the BIG "V" I knew I needed a load equalizer.
G' Luck in yer search.
