On 4/26 I had KMC install ats,vfc and tune. Right after the bike ran awesome.Next day running like **** wouldnt idle not smooth any where. Got rear tire replaced service mngr said he noticed the low rough idle when he brought bike around to me (after I had mentioned it first though.) I had discussed it with Kyle and he said he would call Moms and have them play with it. Dont believe they did anything.So mngr takes it back and adj idle for me. I was like cool. Bike still wasnt running like it was before work and tune. It was 2 weeks before I could get it to Kyle again.He did a fuel psi and cyl psi check. both were good.Ended up finding rear cyl burning lean front rich (checked spark plugs).Took tank off cleaned throttle bodies and took rear injctor out and cleaned that as well. Adjusted vfc and the bike was running alot better went from 28 mpg to 41 mpg. But now in the 2200 to 2700 rpm range it is not smooth.I can feel the motor more now than pre 4/26 throttle is rough and popping alot more then pre work. Im wondering if it needs the dyno again or the ats adjusted lower. I read in a thread HC said 2006 and earlier like lower timing on the wheel. His is at -2 I think he said but he has mental mods copmpared to my baby stuff. Not bangin on KMC he helped out alot that Sat i went to see him.For the bubble to boot. Its just getting ahold of him is like finding a unicorn. If its the ats I could attempt it myself just dont want to blow 45 bucks on a gasket if that aint it.Or grab an appt at Bently's saloon?Or let it ride and trade it in for a Vision. Which not able to do but if I must then I must. Weeping session over thanks.

Just going by what you said; I would want to get it checked on a dyno to see where the problem is in the tune.

Sometimes you can reuse the gaskets but you nailed it when you said it could be an issue. That's the only problem with doing too many mods all at once. You can run into an issue like this not knowing where to look first. The timing wheel will change the timing across the rpm spectrum so if it doesn't run right anywhere; this might be the issue.

It sounds like you fixed the too-rich issue going by your gas mileage. A too lean condition will usually make itself known by excessive heat and pinging if you can hear it over the exhaust.

Please do let us know what you find. The 06 KP is a keeper. Just ask H_C. :D

I would go back to Kyle and have him go over it. Maybe your VFC is bad

Bob and Vison those are 2 things Ive been thinking about. I do think I will grab an appt bike week. It should be cheaper to fix than to replace a bike.Just disgusted is all right now.Plus side is atleast its running ok enough to ride. I just get irritated when I read these "ats and tune is the greatest thing since sliced bread" and it hasnt turned out that way for me right now anyway.Thanks .

I will ride with you to Bentleys , you know that Brother . You always speak of the Vision , now may be the time , but your Pin is one hell of a sweet ride ... Tough decision buddy . I personally would have gone with the PC3 but I'm a Dynojet guy , so I am biased , just seems like the Powercommanders run better and produce more HP . I would see if Kyle may swap them out for you , one for the other , especially if the VFC is suspect . Or , I will meet you @ Moms and help you pick out a new vision , no one can spend your money better then me , you know that Brother . cheers

Did you check to see if your ATS slipped, to retarded and the bike runs like crap.
I had mine at +2 and it would not idle, stalled on accelerate and smelled terrible. Bumped it up to +4 and huge improvement.

Right now I'm signed up for 11 am Friday the 22nd.I have been thinking about a swap myself. I'm going to wait till I get contacted about the appt and see what Kyle thinks.As for the Vision they have a bronse gold mist one Ive had my eye on for awhile 2013. Have started to think about buying my first brand new bike though.You are right though the KP is a sweet machine. Say that to myself everytime I look at it.I'll keep you posted on the ride.

That particular possibility has been nagging at me the whole time.There were alot of distractions at the open house too much can go wrong if your not focused.
