Hmmmm,

Is this man saying that Germans are good ?? Or is he saying German's are bad but history is wrong ??

I am so against Germans that it is difficult for me to understand the way this man writs........ I love this subject as our family lost many members in WWII, even my Grandmother lived in a street that was called " A van Zee straat" and her name was "van Zee" because her brother used to transport Jews over the rivers and was captured and killed by the Germans.

Good question.
I listened to some to one of the links and it seems to me that they are trying to look at the facts of history and connect the dots.
That is where most conspiracy theories come from. It's a natural thing for us humans to try and make sense of things that don't make sense.

If you have been in a really bad accident in your life that you barely survive you will understand what I am referring to. Your mind tries desperately later to make sense of what happened even if all the events were spontaneous , beyond your control and truly unrelated to each other. Your mind desperately needs to tie them all together and you do so even though your conclusions are nonsense.

So we do this with history and lots of other things.
I was raised in a Jewish neighborhood and had some Jewish friends as a child. I always get a kick out of the stereotype of the rich Jew. My friends dads were hardly rich. They worked their asses off from early to very late and were hardly ever home. They mostly owned small businesses that generated enough money for their families because they were very careful and dedicated to their work. They raised their kids to help and run those businesses because they could not afford to hire help. So their kids kind of grew up getting a home school MBA from having a 24 hr tutor who was their dad and all their cousins and uncles too. These guys had little Jewelry shops, shoe stores, pawn shops, etc. Because I am not Jewish there were somethings that I was excluded from there. But I always could get a meal at any of their houses if I was hungry and a roof over my head if I got thrown out of the house. They were hardly wealthy bankers or people with a agenda of world domination..

On top of that my father who served in the Army during WWII and fought in the Battle of the Bulge in the Arden's did a forced tour of one of the concentration camps. I say forced because they were actually forced to tour the camps because the Army understood that unless everyone saw them, people would say that they were just part of the propaganda of the war. Which of course there was a lot of on both sides.

If anyone is really interested I would be happy to share what he saw and said to me about it. However he was there and they were real and many of the people there were obviously Jewish and none of it was fake or made up. Some things you can't fake and yes they were really that bad.

All that to say I think there is probably a lot of good true info maybe but I tend to think that these guys may have connected dots that don't in reality have any connection.

I'm going to read and listen some more.

Those two books I listed for Ricz to read do bring forth that there was a lot of lies told to the American people concerning WWI and WWII. However the reason for those lies were not a huge conspiracy with world domination. It was more greed, stupidity, arrogance, ignorance of the real workings of economics and pride among elected officials on both sides of the oceans.

Really stupid people who feel the need to change the world and are in positions of power are hell for the common man.

Before he died Woodrow Wilson admitted in his memoirs that he was sure that he had destroyed the nation when he handed the reigns of the nations to bankers by bringing into existence the FED. I am not sure that is the only source of the problem, but what he said in his memoirs showed that he felt that he had betrayed the country by his actions and feared the worst from what he had done.

Again these are dots but they don't necessarily connect. However what the Fed did with the economy did directly lead to Americas involvement in two world wars within 50 yrs. and bring to power the Nazi's in Germany through the treaty of Versailles . It's all in the book called America's second crusade.

I'm off to listen and read some more because even if I don't agree with how they connect the dots, the dots themselves interest me.
We are after all the modern Roman Empire and it is interesting to see history being made and being able to talk to those who have been part of it before they are dead. I've been very lucky to talk to some amazing people in my life. I'm very grateful for that.

Having been raised in England and much of England having been razed to the ground by what happened during WWII, I always tend to get a-little pissy when people cherry-pick information to explain away a personally held set of beliefs or an idealism while completely - and obviously, ignoring the most of history to explain away Pure Insanity..

Having said that, I think that Joe made some real good points.. Government will always lie to the people to herd them to do what it wants.. It's kinda what they do.. And they will always use fear or smear, but usually, both to do it...

If you want to draw parallels, you only have to look at our latest endeavors in the middle east to see how a propaganda machine works.. In the History of man, those who lead have always engaged in these practices.. Rile up the populace, make associations that are simply not there, define an enemy, dehumanize that enemy and unleash the hounds, with then, the majority of support from it's outraged population.

The reverse is also true.. A government will ignore associations to prevent an action it deems inappropriate.. Playing down information is the same as playing up information (in my book).. It's all propaganda..

So, I don't doubt for one second that the same happened in the run-up and during WWI and WWII, or any war for that matter, to specifically gather support for action - as-well-as keeping that base of support strong for continued actions, across the board, in the broad public arena.

Having said that.. I lost family in WWII and grew up listening to those who survived tell the tales of what they witnessed over there.. It was an utter Horror Show.. One horror stacked ontop of another.. And only a fool would think that the talking points of the horror of that war are unfounded..

But, Propaganda?? ...During the Nuremberg trials one of Hitler's henchmen was asked how they managed to direct public opinion to support such madness.. He said it was easy.. You tell the people that they and their way of life is under attack, define those attacking them as the enemy, dehumanize those people and the public will pretty-much follow you in any course of action.

So what the Germans did to fuel biases, distrust and hatred across the multitudes was hardly groundbreaking in it's uniqueness.. As has been stated, that has happened throughout history and we see that here today in how any government - even individuals operate.. They dwell on a few small inconsistencies - make a federal case out of them - while completely ignoring all other information to a contrary, to fuel a view, or to prop-up an extreme ideal, or to drive an entire population in the direction, those who would, would want the population to go.

Not a big fan of propaganda.. Give me the facts, all of them; and I'll make up my own mind based on those facts.. I'm not 5 years old, you don't have to guide me to a conclusion, I'm perfectly capable of drawing my own, thank-you very-much thumb up

And as to dwelling on a few cherry-picked facts to fuel an opinion or an ideal to the blind contrary of all other available information.. That's ideal or opinion based on hysterical delusion in my book.. and I'm not a Huge fan of that either.

Have a Great Week Guys and Gals! thumb up .. cheers
