Took my local motorcycle safety class about 3 weeks ago and got my motorcycle license. Bought all my gear. And just bought my first motorcycle. I was looking at a Honda Fury for the longest time because I loved the chopper look, but at the last minute decided against it and bought:

2011 Victory Vegas 8-Ball Stage 1

I've always loved the all black look and when I found out that Victory made one that way, sealed the deal for me. Being American made was icing on the cake and the price was right too. I opted for the Stage 1 swept black exhaust with intake and tune. Bandit Solo seal, Ness teardrop mirrors, and louvered engine covers.

I have nothing to compare it to because it's my first bike, but I love the ride so far. Future plans are a short flyscreen, drag style handle bars and a side mounted horizontal license plate. Glad to be here!

Welcome! Money well spent on the MSF course, and on the Victory, you won't be disappointed. The bike is well balanced enough and easy to handle, along with plenty of power so you won't be looking to upgrade to something bigger anytime soon.
Enjoy the ride. If possible, you might consider riding your new bike back to the course you took your class, and going through some of the exercises again to get a feel of the handling, braking, etc, compared to probably the much smaller bike you took your class on. Whenever I trade bikes, I usually find an big open lot to practice some tight turns, emergency stops, etc. Better to find out how she's going to react in an open lot than on the streets.

Welcome Victory Forums.

A couple of pointers. Please take the time to read the “Sticky” threads in the “Victory Forums Rules and New Members Introductions” forum. This will help you out a LOT with the Victory Forums.

The Search feature is your friend! You will find the answers to a lot of your questions by using it.

If you are asking questions that are of a technical/mechanical/electrical/performance nature, please place them in the “Victory Tech and Performance” forum. This will speed up a response. Placing them in the model specific forum can delay a response.

Welcome

Welcome to the forums, and to the world of biking - great to see you here, and great to see a pic of that beautiful machine of yours. Congrats on the new bike, that's one fine first "pony." I have no doubt you will love riding it.

Enjoy your ride, and be safe out there!:)
