Hey guys, how's it goin? I just bought an 03 V92 cruiser. As you can see it's a little beat up but I got a good deal on it. This is my first "real" bike. I was riding my dad's yamaha 250 for a while so I could get the hang of riding, but now I'm ready for the real thing. I'll be honest with you, I don't know jack about bikes so I'm gonna be asking a lot of questions. I appreciate any help you guys can give me and thanks in advance.

New Guy...
What part of Texas do you Hail?
Your bike looks great, except, you may need a seat. :)) LOL

Speaking of KevinX... he will be here in Houston on the 20th of Feb.
Bayou City Victory Riders are having him in for a Cam Party...
Interested?
I live in marble falls, northwest of austin. Yea, basically all it needs is a seat. If you guys have any ideas on what seat I should get, let me know.
Do you have the stock seat?

I've been seeing a lot of used seats for your bike by mustang and corbin on ebay lately.
No I don't have the stock seat, so I'm in the market for one. If anybody has any suggestions I'd appreciate it. I found one by corbin, it's called the gunfighter. I like the way it looks but I wondered if anyone had any preferences or knew anything about corbin.
I don't know anything about Corbin seats, but I've had Mustang seats on my last two bikes and have loved them.

Editorial:
The most important thing in riding, (and most anything you do) be content with Your Decisions. I am the NFGOAV "New _ Guy On A Victory" at the BCVR. I road for two years with the Club on a '07 Honda VT1100C Shadow Spirit and endured a huge amount of picking. BUT, at the end of the day, my "Molly" FIT Me like a custom glove, right off the show room floor. And never an ounce of trouble keeping up, if not staying ahead of the pack. I road Everything Victory could truck in, and other than "Being a Victory" never found a thing that would ride as well as Molly.
Then I got a sweetheart, she needed a more comfortable ride and Lo-And-Behold, the CrossRoads showed up at the '09 Lone Star Rally. It was what I was holding out for, also fit like a glove, and my baby liked the ride. Bought it on the day of the test ride and believe "Reauzie" to be the finest piece of design engineering and manufacture I have ever ridden (on two wheels).

To the point:
Riding is about fit. Corbin & Mustang are both reputable. I have a Mustang on my first bike (a'95 Vulcan), and fit makes the difference. It has been durable, and still comfortable. There are a couple of Corbins in our Club, and I can say they are certainly comfortable. Time will judge the durability.

Find one You like, and Go For It! Your scooter (yeah, well, I call an aircraft carrier a boat) ain't doin' you any good parked in the garage!!!
Here's some logic for you...:)
Your handle starts with GU, the Corbin Seat you like starts with GU... Git 'er done!! :D:D

You ever get Houston way, look us up. If no, we make an appearance in Johnson City every year, perhaps we'll meet F2F there.
Be Safe.

Best Regards:

Thanks for the tips Phlash. I decided to go with a mustang seat. I've heard nothing but good things about them, and they seem to be the best ones out there. Looks aren't the most important thing for me, it's the fit. I can only afford one bike so I want it to be as comfortable as possible.

As soon as I get the seat on and make sure the bike is in good mechanical shape, I'll be drivin all over the place. I got a lot of relatives in the Houston area so hopefully I'll be able to get down there soon. Johnson City is in spittin distance of Marble Falls so maybe we'll hook up soon. Peace.
congrats, that bike is a solid performer, one of my riding buds has the exact same bike, its like the everyready bunny, it keeps goin, an goin, an goin....

i spent 3 yrs in fort hood, tx. i thought marble falls was south west of killeen, ? not that it matters, come out to calif well show you around.
especially if you bring some pearl beer.

steve
Yea I'm hopin this bike will be a daily rider. Marble Falls is not far from Killeen either, I go thru there every once in awhile. Whew, pearl!? Not too many people know about that one. We get lit up on that every now and again.

I'm savin up my vacation days for the summer so hopefully I'll be able to take some long trips. Maybe I can head out that way.
CONGRATS on the bike and welcome aboard:D
post your new pics in gallery
Bike is not that beat up...once you put a saddle on it. Enjoy! You'll get plenty of lookers on that ride bud!
Well that side's in good shape but you can't see the other side. I was gonna post some pics of it but the bike's being shipped to me from Alabama, and they already deleted the pics that show the damage. It's really not bad. The fenders are scratched and the tank is dented. I was probly gonna paint it another color anyway so it's cool. If the tank isn't dented so bad that it leaks I'll probly just keep it. I really don't care too much at this point about the looks.
