I just purchased an 04 Vegas and can't find the Engine Identification number needed to transfer the title to my name. The numbers that the local dealership said were the ones were not correct and unable to find the correct ones.

any help would be appreciated.

I have an 04 Vegas and the engine number is a sticker just behind the rear cylinder (they like to fall off). In 05 they started to stamp them on. Hope that helps.

I've took a picture of the engine number that is behind the rear cylinder and they said that none of the numbers that are there are not matching what they have in the system.

Question has the engine been replaced?

The engine has not been replaced. The computer has been re-flashed but that shouldn't have anything to do with the engine ID number.

The engine has not been replaced. Although the computer has been reflashed, that should not have anything to do with the engine ID number.
