I've been getting used to the new bike and had some questions:

- What's the trick to getting into neutral while the bike is running? It slips into neutral like butter when the bike is off.

- Are there sources to convert the headlight and driving lights to halogen bulbs?

- I've read about swapping the front turn signals for Harley turn signals. One of my lenses has some internal stress cracks. Does anyone have part numbers?

Whens the last time you changed the oil. No kidding, past 3K or so getting the N is touchy. If recently what oil did you use as that is another contributor.

There are tons of aftermarket bulbs that will fit your driving and running. There was so much mixed feedback I finally just DIDNT change. I did contimplate adding lower running lights but again, never did for the money. Bulb sizes are pretty standard.

Turn signals. I am pretty sure I typed up a thread of converting to HD TS and it has all the info in the V92 forum. Been about 1yr or so ago. LEt me know if you cant find it. Cost is under 80 bucks if I remember right, they look great and MUCH better build than the stock plastic.

I just picked up the bike Saturday so I was running on whatever oil the previous owner had in it. I changed the oil tonight so tomorrow I'll see if there is any improvement.

I'll try to find the thread you're talking about. I searched before, but I have a hard time using the search on this forum.

Thanks for the reply!

As for neutral, the trick is . . . patience! Fresh oil will help a little, but mine never just falls into neutral.

Now to contradict that statement; just a few days ago, I came up to a stop light and when I put my left foot down I felt a slight tug on the cuff of my pants. Never thought about it until the light changed, I let out the clutch and didn't go anywhere. After a brief moment of panic, I realized I was in neutral. I had snagged the heel shifter with the cuff of my pants and pulled it just enough to drop into neutral. I just can't do it that easy with my foot :)

I changed my headlight to a Sylvania SilverStar, but left the driving lights original. The SilverStar has a noticably brighter, white light. The original lights are much more yellow.

I also sometimes have a hard time finding neutral. I read a post awhile ago that said if you bring your rpm's slightly while going into neutral it helps. Many times this has worked for me but not always. As others have said fresh oil also seems to help. Good luck. Ride safe
