Recently replaced spark plugs and plug wires. Wires are vic oem part from vic dealer. Resistance on long wire that goes to front cylinder reads 508 ohms, book says should be 1780 ohms +/- 10%.

Anybody know what affect this would have? Having backfire issues upon acceleration n deceleration. I have an 08 vic hammer, also recently installed Basani 2 in 1 shorts, K&N high flow filter, and vfc 3.

Trying to figure out if wire or vfc is causing the backfire.

I don't think either is causing your backfire, but you can find out easily. Swap back to the stock plug wires then disconnect the VFC ground. Disconnecting the ground will turn off the VFC and go back to the way it was prior without disconnecting all the wires to the injectors.

More likely you have an intake and/or exhaust leak. 08+ intake boots are notorious for falling apart, and an aftermarket exhaust opens up the possibilty of an exhaust leak. You may also benefit from a LLoydz IAC valve IF ALL OTHER ISSUES ARE ADDRESSED FIRST! Just don't band-aid an existing problem by adding aftermarket parts.
