1st post on this Forum, although I've been a member since I bought a 2013 Vic XCT back in Aug 2017

Just thought I'd introduce myself.

My name is Ken, but everyone calls me Dusty.

I have been riding since 1968. I came from a 1992 Honda Goldwing Aspencade which I bought in very late 2007, with just over 20,000 kms on her. It now has over 340,000 kms on it.
I decided to get the Vic in late Aug, as I had been trying to decide for quite a number of years what the wing's replacement bike should be, as I dislike any of the 1800 model wings.
I remember when I 1st sat on a 2012 Vic Cross Country at the bike show in Toronto, as how well the bike fit me ergonomically and did some research on them after that
I came across my 2013 Victory Cross Country Tour in a Kijiji ad (similar to your Craigs List). The PO was a fella wasting away with cancer and COPD who was offering up his bike.
It had 42,679 kms on it when I bought it at the very end of Aug last year and has 49,927 kms on it when I took it off the road for the season in Dec.

I have been busy 'making it mine' since then, with it stripped down on my workbench in my shop, adding some minor performance, comfort and custom LED lighting as well.
Weather still sucks here at this time of year.

Been through Elmvale quite a bit, especially when I moved back to ON, from BC to be the caregiver to my parents who lived in Beaverton.
Now that they have both passed, I am WSW of London and when I ride through there, it's usually when going to/coming from up around the Gravenhurst/Huntsville/Sudbury area

Well when you're heading in that direction we'll have to touch base see if we can travel a road or two together...I ride with the Southern Cruisers out of Orillia on Sundays but the rest of the week I am always up to finding some kewl spots to burn some gas out on 8)

Cheers, Ride Safe,

Rob

Please Please buy yourself a wheel vise for your lift table. You can find them on ebay and other places. What you have there is not baking your bike safe

Ah ... but you are not seeing the whole picture ...

Between the wide based jack under the bike and the the ratchet straps on the rear saddlebag guards, I have no fear of it toppling off the platform!

Besides, I have no room on my work platform for one as I designed it to fit under my workbench, when not in use, as I hated wasted floor space taken up by a piece of equipment when not in use, such as a 'conventional lift'!

Thanks for your concern, though!! :smile

Welcome From Tennessee

Really nice bike there Dusty Boots. Nice customizing too... You're going to love the way it rides and handles. So don't be afraid to push it.
