First time I saw a pair of Victory Cross Country bikes in 2011 I really liked the looks of them, but wondered how they rode. It wasn't until 2014 that I took an XC for a test drive and I was completely hooked and started the plans to get one next summer.

So, in the Spring of 2015 I was set to get a Victory Cross Country. Really wanted a black 2012 or 2013 model (liked the chrome better than the black out). Could not find a single one for sale in Southern Alberta... had alerts setup on auto trader and kijiji as soon as one came on the market. I had just landed at the Calgary airport after visiting family up in Peace River and I got a kijiji alert that a 2012 XC had just been posted. Literally, I drove by the address on my way to the airport in Peace River that morning! I called the guy up and he didn't seem too excited that some guy 700 km away was interested and I said my dad would come by and see it. He said he wasn't available but would phone (don't call me, I'll call you). 2 hours later he calls back and said my dad could come by and look at it that day, turns out his dad had done business with my dad and they know each other well.
Bike was in great shape, under my budget, so didn't even dicker!
