Just called and pulled the trigger. Blue 2011 with trunk, drivers backrest, passenger handholds and iPod cabling. Will go and pick it up this Saturday. Pictures soon, if I can figure out how.

I'll be visiting here much more often, if you guys will have me. Thanks for your comments; they helped push me over the edge.

new XC

Congrats' well I'm making a big change. Sold my 2011 vision, now I want the XC, just more practicle. At 6'6'' it was a toss up between the vision and XC. The only negative i've heard about the XC is more vibration than the vision. I will investigate this further.

I own the very same bike. Blue XC minus the trunk and handholds. I got a dark Cee bailey 11" windshield and I-pod cables. Added to Blue LED's as well.
I Love It, Great Bike. I'm sure you will too.

Congrats! These are awesome motorcycles and provide tons of enjoyment. Everytime I get on mine I get that feeling like, damn I love this thing. Usually by this time the new has wore off. The new isn't wearing off this XC and thats great because I can go though some motorcycles and the Victory stopped that. Enjoy.cheers The bike list below isn't a dent in the bucket. Victory did a graet job on this bike.

NewCrew, I see you owned a Goldwing at one time. Would you care to assess the two bikes? I disregarded the Goldwing due to foot placement (what is referred to as a "standard" riding position) causing my knees to fatigue after 3-4 hours of riding. The fairing features seem to be about the same.

Welcome aboard

Congratulationsthumb up. You will really like the XC. She is a cruiser that was made with a lot of common sense by the guys at Victory. This is the 12th bike I've owned in my life, and can't say enough good about it. Have funcheers.

I've actually had a couple, an 01 and a 04 Gl1800. The Cross country is the only bike out there IMHO that is as comfortable as the Gold Wing. Now I didn't say it has the weather protection as it doesn't but it can with a couple mods. The Gold Wing also handles great depite its size but still the XC is better. The extra 100 of the GW comes into play here I'm sure. Leg comfort on this bike is incredible, better than anybike I'm aware of. You can stretch em out pull em back any where you want due to the what I like to call sasquatch floor boards. Nothing derogatory I just like to call them that. When I look in my rearview mirror I see my wife more relaxed than she'e ever been on a motorcycle and that includes the GW. Last but not least the GW feels 400 lbs heaver at parking lot speeds, parking and so forth. I actually was getting ready to get another GW a 2010, I had the deal worked out and everything and a guy pulled into this dealership on a killer looking Kingpin and I thought damn I forgot about the Vics. Well went to the Vic dealership test drove the XC and as they say the rest is history. Be forewarned you can't keep the wife off the thing but I think thats a testament in itself.

I went and got the bike this morning; it was a lot cooler than I anticipated. I wore a tee shirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes thinking that it would warm up; it is lower Arkansas and it is mid May. As I was leaving the house, I did think to grab a nylon windbreaker, "just in case". I rode away from the dealer in 57 degree weather, and never saw the temps get above 63. Three hours later, I got home; nearly frozen. The bike rode great and got 49.5 mpg right out of the box. I'm very pleased so far.

Here's the right side of the bike:

. . . and the left side:

Finally, the dashboard showing the 49.5 mpg; that's good stuff.

I'll have to go back up and let them install/adjust the passenger backrest/tour trunk as well as the passenger handholds when they get in.

I think :D is one of the best features of the Cross Country. I've got 3000 on mine in a month and its just a bi-product of riding the bike.

That's the way I feel and I've got a lot of milage accumalated on these things, but no other bike has done it for me quite like this one. Matter of fact I was considering quiting because with todays roads I was getting tired of getting my kidneys knocked out every time I hit a bump or what have you. I spent a fortune on my Road Glide and never could get it to ride anywhere close to the Vic. It was limited due to design. Thank God I went and test drove the Cross Country. It sure has put the excitment and enthusiasm back in my riding.

Congratulations Phideaux! Your Blue XC looks great. thumb up

I have a 2011 Blue XC on order w/trunk, Ipod and drivers backrest. We take delivery on May 28. I have the Clearwater LED's and the Hyperlites LED's on order as well. Thank you to the members here who have posted these two safety items. This Victory site puts a hole in the wallet but, it's money well spent, IMHO.

Probably adding a Cee Baileys windshield and lowers after I get out on the HWY to know what I need. As NewCrew said, the best feature on the XC is: :D
cheers

I keep a jacket & rainsuit in the bag year-round. Only time they come out is when I put them on.
Beautiful bike. As discussed on another board it's maybe the best all-round bike out there todaythumb up.

Ride safely, RR
