Hiya!!!

New 2013 Sunset Red XCT. Still researching what mods I want, but the VictoryHID lights were a no-brainer and ordered both low/hi as soon as I found out about them.

Previous bikes include a CB550-4, Vulcan 700, Vulcan 750, Yamaha RSTD (wishing I'd kept that bike), an 08 HD Ultra that went across the US for Rolling Thunder last year and onto craigslist this year (to help pay for the XCT), and a HD Street Glide that I put way too damn much money into and will be semi-retired to my in-state bike.

I plan to cross many a state line on this machine. I'll start in September with a trip to Street Vibrations in Reno, find a twisty route between Lake Tahoe and Monterey, and then up the coast highway back to Oregon.

Peace! Hope to run into some of you along the way!!!

Paul.

Welcome aboard! Nice choice of bike. I have a 2012 XCT. Will be passing through Eugene on my way to Blaine WA in early May.

Welcome to the forum.
I had to give up my '11 Road Glide to be able to afford my '13 Vision but it is all good. This bike has been pretty much trouble free for me. I have already crossed plenty of state lines and the Canadian border with it. My daughter lives out near Portland so I may be out that way in the next year or so.
Ride safe and keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down.

Welcome--great choice for LD touring. Did you buy from Coen Motors in Springfield? If you did, that's Orbiker's brother. Orbiker is a member here.

Sure did. Greg has watched me salivate over an XCT for a few years now. Had no intention of buying a new bike...just wanted to stop in and drool some more...but Greg threw out a number that I couldn't walk away from.

I've run into orbiker at Greg's shop, but didn't know him as orbiker, or Greg's brother, until running around in the forums here. His bike is very unique, and that's how I recognized who it was.

Pfrets....If by any chance you see orbiker soon, ask him about the OR/CA Gathering and if you think you can make it, I have a room with two beds that I'll be glad to share.

Strike...let me know when you come this way. If I'm in town, I have a lot of flexibility with my work hours. Might be able to roll a few miles with you.

Oldman...my HD friends who ride the RG have said nothing but good things about them, so it speaks volumes that you traded up to a Vic. The Vic people I know have all said the same thing about the Vics...Trouble Free!!!

Ride safe. I'll roll a few miles with you when you're up this way.

RICZ...when is it ? New here...knowledge deficit.
September 12 to 14, but it isn't a Victory thing. Orbiker and I are on another CA based forum that is centered on riding, just riding. If you want to talk to me about it, click on the first link in my signature. I'll fill you in on the juicy details.

I will do that. Eugene may be an overnight stop as that will probably be Day 2 stop for my SCMA USA4CT Ride.
