I just purchased a 2008 Jackpot and rode it for about 2 hours yesterday. (I am coming from only sport bikes) I have a couple initial questions.

1. foot pegs, It seemed like I was having to hold my right leg up on the foot peg. I finally put my foot under the break and let it rest there but that is probably not good if I need to stop. Again I am very new to this style of bike. Should I be looking at aftermarket pegs?

2. Seat, my seat felt darn comfy coming from sport bikes lol. But the passenger seat lookes pretty uncomfortable and small. Can anyone reccomend differant seats possibly back rest for the passenger? As I just bought a new bike, price will be a factor.

3. Washing, How should I wash my new ride? My sport bikes I just would ride down to the car was and hose it off. Thinking that may mess things up and get water where I dont want it. Any special areas to not spray to much?

Also my bike has some swirl marks from bad cleaning or something. I bought some tutle wax polishing compund to remove the light marks, and some turtle wax chrome and metal polich for the chrome. Does this sound ok? and thoughts?

Let me see if I can answer you questions.

1) My right foot doesn't cover my brake pedal unless I'm about to brake. I don't worry too much about it since 70% of braking comes from the front brake.

2) I've heard Corbin seats are some of the most comfortable. But I do know Victory makes some aftermarket seats that increase cushion for both rider and passenger.

3) Personal experience - A little soap and some elbow grease go a long way. You can wax your paint job and I'd suggest spray on just cause of the limited surface area pastes don't work that well.

Seat wise I advise the least exspensive route. Have the seat redone with a gel pad installed.

As far as washing goes. Do not and I repeat do NOT use any pressure washing of any kind. As you already know there is more of the components exposed on a cruiser than a sport bike. Pressure washing and even a hard stream from a garden hose attachment can force water into areas that should not have water in them. A light steady stream or light spray is what you need.

If you are going to use the polishing compund I'm thinking of, DON'T. It is extremely abrasive. Go with the Meguiar's 3 step process. The best thing to do is get a random/orbital polisher and use products that are made for them.
