i have read many posts on here about you guys feeling cramped on harleys and switched to cross countrys or whatever.

the only harley i ever sat on was a sportster i rode home to my boss'es house for him when he bought it. now i am a small guy...5'5 160 lbs but i thought that sporster was a bicycle with a motor compared to my vegas.

well tonight i had a chance to get on a new 2015 road glide a friend bought a few weeks ago.

my impression of the road glide...now remember i a a little guy.

1. easier to get off the kickstand than my vegas. either it don't weigh as much or the vegas is more top heavy.

2. easier to reach the shifter and brake pedal than my vegas.

3. seat is slightly taller than my vegas but i have the low seat on my vegas.

4. handle bars are easier to reach than my vegas.

in other words...other than the seat being slightly taller the road glide fits me better than the vegas. i always thought a harley ...especially the the bagger ones were too big for me.

i can imagine now how cramped you big guys feel on a harley.

i love my vegas but after sitting on that road glide it made me realize i gotta do something to make it fit better.

gotta start hiding money from the old lady so i can do the lowering...peg relocation...handle bar mods.:D

my friend is the same height but he can sit on the road glide flat footed where as i am on my toes. i have a longer torso than him but shorter legs.

You wouldn't have to hide money if you just bought a Road Glide......

If you're going to do any kind of riding besides bar hoping, being comfortable on what you ride is the most important aspect to enjoying your ride.

If you got a seat that moved you forward a couple of inches, everything would be better...
I have the Saddleman/Victory solo seat. Vegas and Kingpin use the same seat. I can sit on this seat all day long and be comfortable because it is shaped to match the human backside. These appear to be the same seat I have...

The Corbin or Mustang seats sit you back like 1-1/2" from the stock seat.

On a side note : when I left work for lunch yesterday two of my co workers have HD'S mid 80's road king and a mid 80's electra glide classic . One on either side of my XC , my first thought was , WOW , those HD's look like scooters next to my bike . When I was a kid my Dad had HD's and I always thought , I will never be big enough to ride one of these .... Now , they look puny to me .

Don't get the EZ brackets... they make the bags hang like ****. Get the universal mounts and drill the bags yourself so you can place them and shim them the way YOU want them to hang.

The black bike and the yellow bike are the same bike... I painted it. The bags in both pics are the same.
