A short while ago I post about having oil on the inside of my screen on my 09 8ball. Well, yesterday I came home after 120mile ride, parked the bike went upstairs. Came out 1 hour later for a smoke and look at my dusty bike, thanx dirt road. I noticed on the front wheel on the right side a pool of oil on the rim itself. If you straight up its the hub. I wiped around the bottom of the fork no oil.

Wth is happening? I know Im not seeing things lol

Maybe brake fluid? That's a strange one. Can the temp variance from being hot from riding, then cooling, exacerbate an underlying problem with a seal? I know its a stretch, but...

I'm interested to hear what experienced members will say.

Tears. Your bike wanted to keep going...

On the serious side, it is strange. Obviously has to be real slow leak since pooled AFTER sitting, or so I'm assuming. When you wiped it up, did you check the rest of the rim? Is there a light coating of "oil" fluid or whatever the liquid is around the entire rim? If so, leaking while riding.

You checked forks, check brake fluid level and open it to see if the color and viscosity match. Son't just look at it, dab a paper towel in it and take both out to the light.

Doubt bearing grease, should be thick enough to stay, even if extreme heat, would thicken again on rim after returning to normal temp.

Where you having a beer with that smoke or what were you smoking? :D

Im taking a longish ride on sunday for a meeting. Ill keep checking it, but its confusing for sure. The brake fluid is good, I actuated the brake a number of times didnt see any leaks.
