I was entertaining the idea I might sell/trade my XC in the next season now that its old with 26k miles on ;) Then the smart part of me kicked and realized the XC just about broken in and there's no other bike out there that will serve me(and my passengers) as well as this XC does as its setup. So, a refresh is all that's needed. Also, if I sink some money into this bike, even if its big-bucks it will still be better financially than to start at 0 with a new bike.
Here's what I have in mind.....
1. Kuryakyn lower fork covers/guards and transmission cover
2. billet dash bezels, shift linkage and master cylinder covers and clutch arm cover.
3. professional re-paint of my outer chin fairings(ie. Goody)
4. WYRD Bros. cams and tune
5. *maybe* 21" custom front wheel.

Not much to see now...but next year I will post up pics whatever I do.
The fat front tire is a cool option....since doing a 21" rim, tire, ABS ring and painted fender is looking upwards of $2400 and its only for looks....this is the main reason why its a "maybe" option.

When I bought mine, I figured it would be the last one, and I plan to do the same thing just do refreshes....thumb up

Looks like a good list. Is there a reason you want to go with WYRD cams instead of Lloydz cams? Better power or range you ride in or both?

I think the fatter front tire is going to be more popular in the years to come but only time will tell. To go a bit taller and wider would be a nice combo IMHO with matching fender.

I'm so pleased with the 130/70-18 rear Battlax BT-45H in both handling and longevity that I think I will go with a

I just need to make sure I have a little more than a half inch of clearance under the front fender. If so; I'm good to go. I don't have ABS to worry about.

If it doesn't quite fit then I will go with the same tire in a 140/70-18. It will definitely fit and still give it a little beefier look.

It's a bias tire but seems to ride just fine. Many people will want to go with a radial which might ride even better. They are supposed to anyway in which case they might want to look at THIS TIRE. Heck, now that I think about it, I may just go that route too. :) Just have to make sure I'm running a radial on the back which I'm pretty sure I am.

I prefer a higher profile tire on a touring bike for a better ride. On a cruiser or sport bike I might go with the lower profile. Just a personal preference.

By spring who knows what will be available for our bikes. Change things is the best way to keep the spirit a live thumb up

I just traded my'13 XCT with 65k miles on it and had added several accessories. I got $13k for trade, which I felt was pretty good for that high mileage. I think the accessories helped the trade value. When a dealer puts your trade-in on the floor as inventory it helps to make it show well. I also liked Vic Bagger upper and lower bag fillers, kinda filled in the rear of the bike, and Kuryakyn chrome inner and outer engine covers. I'd say with just 25k on it there is still some smiles left in your's. P.S. With trade and Victory Red tag year end sale I was able to gat a '15 XCT for the same monthly payments. Ride On.

Two reasons, First, from the charts I've seen the WYRD Bros. cams seem to have an earlier, flatter curve(which would suit my riding) and mainly I've read they are more quiet than Lloydz cams.
That said, I'm less than 2 hours away from Lloydz shop in NY, so who knows :rolleyes:

I am going to do a few mods this winter....

1.) bag fillers. Not sure what kind yet exactly because I use the lock n ride backrest requently.

2.) professionally paint dash, chin spoiler and maybe some airbrush on the bags.

3.) remove AFR+ and add a PCV

4.) install some cams still leaning towards the WYRD because with the exchange will be much cheaper for me in Canada.

5.) some billet bling... Brake pedal, shift lever, shift linkage, hand controls.
