Well, I've posted before without much input about my RPW black Slash exhaust looking like crap after and 3500 miles (purchased the bike used 5 months back w/ 500 miles)

Anyone ever get ceramic Pipes powder coated? Im picking up some rims from my guy this weekend and plan to ask him about it. Just wondering how they will hold up to high temps.

I have a can of VHT but.. i would rather do it right.

A friend of mine had his custom made muffler powder coated on his sport bike once. From what I remember, it never lasted very long. I'm not sure how high the temp is when they bake on the powder coat, but the exhaust must be hotter because it burnt off.
There might be different types of powder paint you can use, the guy doing it would know or if you are just doing the heat shields it might be fine. I just wouldn't do the pipes directly.

I just read on some HD forums that guys are using ceramic burner- oven surface cleaner- makes sense for ceramic pipes right? Both are high heat. I'm gonna give it a shot, i think most of my issues is road grime and overspray from using cleaner/wax.
