I'm smaller than you and I have a 2009 Ness Jackpot
I currently ride a 2000 Honda Valkyrie Tourer that I bought new. Its been a great bike but after 10 years I want to get something a little smaller since I'm only 5'7 and only 160 lbs.I would like to get owner feed back from Vegas owners. Good things and also any dislikes. Thanks!
I just traded my VStar 1100 in on a 2009 Ness Jackpot. I'm a woman, 5'5 so you've got a couple inches on me. Although the Ness' frame is lower than the VStar, the bike itself seems taller. The seat is wider than the aftermarket one I had on the VStar which forces my legs into a wider stance, but I can still flat-foot it. It's a stretch for me to the shifter, but I'm getting used to it - you'll probably be OK. The Ness handlebars on it are already stretched back 2', so it's pretty comfy for me. I was worried about cornering with the rear tire, but it is actually pretty nimble.
It's going back to the dealer in a week to get Vic swept exhaust (stock is waaaay too quiet), it'll be lowered 1 1/2 inches, we're adding some axle covers and relocating the license frame and adding LED turn signals to clean up the back end. Only thing I didn't like about the bike was the cheap-looking turn signals and a cluttered rear end.
If a 5'5 girl can handle a Ness Jackpot, you'll have no trouble - and man, what a ride. Good luck!
