Well, after looking at the Cross Roads, and then deciding on a Cross Country I went to the dealer today and put a deposit on a --- Vision. Hopefully we'll get all of the paperwork done after I test ride it on Friday and I'll take it home then. thumb up

As I was chatting with the sales guy about the XC vs. the XC Tour he said "take a look at this Vision that we just took in trade on a 2012 Ness Vision." Well, it was a beauty! 3,000 miles, Chrome EVERYWHERE, stage 1 exhaust, iPod interface and the price was great. Of course it's an '09 so no ABS. :(

I had planned on a new XC or XCT, but was glad to get a deal on a bike I think I will enjoy just as much while saving a ton of dough.cheers

Well, the test drive went great. I was astounded at how great this BIG motorcycle handled. Not only was it MUCH better than my current VTX1300, but even a lot better than the Cross Roads I tested.

It was a little chilly during the test drive (low 40s) but the wind protection is so good that, in combination with the heated seat and grips, I could have gone all day.

Of course, neither the salesman nor myself thought about the banks being closed today so we couldn't finish up the deal, but we'll get it taken care of next week.

I took a snapshot and will try to post it here.

Now get yourself a set of Cycleops metal upper and lower wind deflectors and you'll be able to ride inthe upper 30's with no real issues...

Again, Congrats on the new Vision!!! Midnight Cherry is the BEST and FASTEST color of the Visions!!! thumb upthumb up

Thanks guys. My sales guy (he rides an '09 Vision) said the same thing about the lowers.

The tour pack is coming off on day one. In looking over the bike yesterday the keys for the ignition and the trunk lock were different so I'm thinking this started out as a Street Premium. The sales guy is gonna ask the former owner if he still has the panel to cover the trunk mount on the rear fender.

Well, I've been busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest the last couple weeks, but finally got the deal done!

They will drop it off at the house tomorrow. It's supposed to be 60 degrees and sunny on Turkey Day so I'll be takin' a little ride!:D

Nice bike for sure! I think the 2009s are the fastest of all the Visions - but then again that is because I have one! <grin> I purchased mine this year in April and it sat on the dealers floor for 2 years... Your bike with 3k miles is just starting to get broken in! I wonder if it has had an oil change? Have fun... Here is mine:

Nice! My bike was a trade in on a 2012 Ness Vision. It was originally purchased at the same dealer so I got the service records plus the remaining warranty. Can't wait to get it out for a ride. thumb up
