Before I owned my XC I had a Jackpot w/ a 45 degree Kewlmetal rake kit and I loved it. Personally, I love the look of a raked out clean looking bagger. I've recently been looking into rake kits that are available for my XC. I've looked at the Ness one, HMD, Kewlmetal, etc. I was wondering who has done a rake kit on their XC and what product you went with? Also, what size wheel did you upgrade to and which fender you chose? I was looking to do the Ness 6 degree kit (black) but now I'm torn on the wheel size. Seems like a 21" would be fairly close to the factory 18", so maybe doing a 23" would be best? Any info, pics, suggestions would be awesome! Thanks for the insight!

Reach out to the Victory dealership in Murrell's Intel, SC. They have a website called "HotVic" and have probably done more variations on rakes on XC/Visions than anyone else out there. At the last MB rally, I counted 4 different approaches to raked front ends. look them up online and see what they have to offer.

As far as front wheels go...
21" can be done on these X-bikes without ANY rake at all. However, 23" wheels do look better but required a minor rake. If your going to invest in rake then you might as well go with a 26" wheel which looks the best IMHO after seeing SO many of them during last years rally. Some have gone to the 30" wheel but IMHO it looks "too big" and kinda makes it look like the bike version of the too-big-a-rim BMW sedans that ride around jack up in the air like a 4x4...

While all rims are expensive, the 30" rims are running $3,500 and up so it starts to become cost-prohibitive when you are spending $7K to put a front end and new tire/wheel combo on a bike. In contrast I have seen some SUPER NICE 26" front ends that guys spent less than $5K on (and one guy welded his own to bring it down under $3K)!
