OK, Tried adjusting the "green light only" function of my VFC-III. Originally in Virginia this was set to 4. I made adjustment to the VFC, see pics below. It helped with the “popping” but how do the plugs look?

Here's a picture of new spark plugs after 50 miles of city driving at with green function set to 4.5.

what bike, your getting pretty rich, see all the black soot working its way up the porcelain?

With only 50 miles use should I be reading just the tip of the insulator, which indicates lean in both pictures or looking at deposits farther up the porcelain that indicate things may be on the rich side in the second picture?

There was just a thread going a couple days ago about reading spark plugs, it may even be on the front page still.

if they are new ngk plugs 50 miles isnt far enough to get a read on them anyway, but still rich in all pics. remember green does idle to cruise.
