Has anyone succesfully put a 2into1 RPW pipe on a Cross bike? When I look at the bikes, I can't see why it wouldn't work. The "Thor" or the "Big Deal"? The rear mount would have to be fabricated but that's easy.
You may already know this, but your saddle bags actually ride on the mufflers. I converted my stock exhaust into a 2 into 1 exhaust. I had removed the left muffler and cross over pipe completely. So it only has the right side muffler which has a glass pack car muffler in it. You can do a mod so your left saddlebag has a place to sit. My bike also has the police style saddlebag guards, so I used some aluminum and fabricated it into the saddlebag guard. It's been that way for many miles now. I liked the Bassani 2 into 1 set up, I just did not like spending the $$$$. Good luck.
I didn't know that the bags rested on the pipes. I don't actually have a Cross bike. My brother is looking at buying one and we were just thinking ahead as to what performance exhaust we could put on. I'm a big fan of 2 into 1 exhausts. I have an RPW Thor on my Vegas. Thanks for the info.
I copied my original post from theVictorMaryCharlie.com and put it here. The steps sort of assume a person has read the service manual, sorry. Others can add their own tricks and tips.
1. Don't try to do this on the side stand, Get the bike upright. Using a lift is preferable.

Ok I’m new to the forum and can’t wait to learn more! Uh anyways so 25,000 miles on my 2016 cross country 8 ball and now my right fork is leaking! Cool... only problem is I can’t fine a kit that will let me do seals and dust covers. So any help would be great! Thanks
My low beam HID needs to be replaced and CR is no longer in business so I want to put a LED. My problem is that there are so many to choose from. Anybody have any suggestions what to do or which bulb to buy.
The AFR+ is a great tuner. In fact, I think it's better that the PCV (if you're not getting dyno tuned) without cams. The tuner was pretty spot on through the gears, right where I wanted. I was running the ATS +6, Hi flow filter. Once I put cams in, it still works pretty good but it's too rich...
