Ok, I am looking for a different passenger seat for my vegas, looking for some type of touring seat, like a kingpin deluxe or something similar, or maybe a one piece, I have been looking and found another one piece. What I want, I want a seat that is no higher then I have, I would like it lower, with maybe a little more support in the lower back, I have seen some with drivers backrests also. I was thinking of just going with maybe a kingpin driver and passenger seats. What do any of you have for suggestions. The bike is my daily rider, to and from work, 60ish miles a day, the stock seat is comfy for that, but the stock passenger seat is not going to be if we decide to go for a day trip or something. What could I look for?

ok, well i bought a kingpin touring drivers seat, and have a kingpin passenger seat on the way, hope it works well for my and the wife. The driver seat pan itself has the same part number on it as my vegas, but the foam feels a little different, and it seems to be a little taller in the back for more lower back support. And the passenger seat is noticeably wider and should be more comfortable then the stock vegas one. I may have the driver seat cut down over the winter for a lower seat height, but for now it should be good.

any updates on this? I was watching to see what people had to say about your post. My wife has stated that she "wont get back on that damn thing until I get a new seat that is comfortable for her." The last time she said that I bought a mustang seat for myself--it is ok a little more comfortable than stock (in a footbed sort of way) it seems harder because it doesn't give much but it seems to be molding to my arsse better and I can add a backrest; plus it works with the passenger seat on which I thought was cool considering it is Mustangs SOLO seat.

I first started with the Victory Bandit seat and my wife hated it, just nothing there to sit on. So i sold that seat and got a regular solo seat and regular passenger seat. Wife rode about an hour and said it was still uncomfortable. Next, i took the passenger seat to my local upholstry shop. They took the cover off, shaved about an inch from the foan and put in a gel pad, re-foamed it, and cover back on. All for $90.00. Wife can now ride for much more than an hour but still wants a backrest.

I want to get a taller backrest also, the KP one would be good, but the 2up or whatever its called would be better then the tiny one thats on it now.

I switched to the kingpin touring seat on my 04 Vegas, front and pass seat, i can tell you its a great improvement over the stock vegas seat. I took the wife on a 1.5 hr one way ride the other night and didnt hear any complaints and on the way back we were riding with a friends biker club and those boys like to kick it up a notch.
