Oil ?

Personalty I would narrow the field by only including oils that are JASO-MA rated, than price, than available.

Also shear stability (Group III, IV, & V) will give longer intervals between changes. Hard to know without feedback from fellow users.

witch one would YOU put in your Vic if you live here?

Good points see below all oils are for wet-clutch JASO Standard, MA/MA2 and I will add a POLL, and please note the price would not matter much as the transport from Jakarta or Singapore to our Island will be quite expensive,

• AMSOIL = wet-clutch / JASO Standard, MA/MA2
• IDEMITSU = API SJ & JASO MA
• LUCAS OIL = / API SG / SF / CC / CD, JASO MA & JASO MA-2, ACEA A3
• SHELL = API SL, JASO MA2
• ROYAL PURPLE = JASO MA2 air-cooled and liquid-cooled 4-cycle engines / wet-clutch transmissions
• MOBIL = JASO MA /
• ADNOC = Prevents wet clutch slippage
• VICTORY OIL = API SL, JASO MA2

OK i voted AMSOIL + LUCAS + SHELL

Why do we not use Victory oil
Is it cause of the money
Are we that cheap
So how many thousands you paid for your bike and now you want to be cheap with oil
Do you have enough money saved up to pay the motor rebuild bill
Not one of the four motor tuners tell you not to use Victory oil

WooHoo

Cool, an oil thread, I've been waiting for one of these polls. Can't say I know to much to compare since I've only used one brand, heck I've only changed the oil one time and that was around 800 miles; but I used the reccomended Victory oil, and it's worked great ever since, so I'll choose that one. cheers

Any JASO-MA or MA2 oil will do. I use Rotella T-6. Right now there is an $11 rebate for a gallon. That'll make it $4 a quart. Top that.

Yippee!!!! oil... lifeblood of the v-twins. Somebody here would put their brand in their coffee if they could. They carry a small vial in their pocket like whiskey. They use it like vitalis on their nappy heads. They check it before each ride and when they get home... make sure to add a drop if need be. Their motor only purrs with that special brand. Shifts gooder, better gas mileage, its liquid gold for crying out loud! Don't matter the cost. Change it every 3,000 religiously.

:crzy:cheers:ltr:

And your point is....? If you are being critical of Diesel oil, hey, its the same oil but with a heavier additive package that adds more engine protection. And that's a good thing.thumb up

I use Victory oil. Why you may ask? Because one night when I was sleeping, Ma Vic came to me on a Vision and told me too.
