I've been through there several times. Very nice area and some great riding. However, the really great riding like the Tail of the Dragon are a ways away. Still easily within reach, but you'd need to schedule a full day to ride up there, get a couple of runs and get back to Helen. Plenty of great areas to ride and places to see up in North Carolina if you're willing to sacrifice a full day of riding to get to them and get back if you're staying in Helen.

If I were going to do this, and I might, I think I'd just go tour around in North Carolina for a few days then end up in Helen for the last day of the Rally.

There is a state park, hotels and lots of cottages for rent very close. We'll be at a cottage 3 miles away.

While they do sponsor the event, the Southeast Victory Rally is not a *** event.

As a matter of fact, one of the founders of the event (me) wasn't event a *** member until after the first Southeast Victory Rally in Perry.

Stuart and I started this thing because we wanted to have an event where all victory riders (and really, ALL riders) were welcome to join with other like-minded folks and enjoy some of the best motorcycle roads this country has to offer (as well as a few libations cheers ).

You do NOT need to be a member of ANY organization to attend. You don't need to own, or ride, a Victory motorcycle. You simply need to be a fan of the brand and want to have a good time.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask or shoot me an e-mail to [email protected]
