Went to change my plugs today and spark plug wire metal tip stays on the plug! So I try and take off the end that goes to the coil and I had to fight and pull and fight to get it off. I ride a 2011 Crossroads and I enjoy this bike a lot. The tip on the coil side looks like something that I have niver seen. Anyone put those Victory colored wires on their bikes? I ordered a red set today should have them in about a week or so. No riding for a while. A car sparkplug wire will not fit. I need a little help. Those sparkplug ends from the coil is very hard to pry out of the coil. God Bless..

You must be one of those fellas that always had something else to drive when you were working on cars or bought everything you might need before you started.

Simple fix:
Remove sparkplug wire connector from the plug
Slide the boot back about 1" on the sparkplug wire
Use needlenose pliers to bend the connector slightly larger than the wire
Cut 1/4-3/8" of shielding off the sparkplug wire - don't cut the black core
Fold the core of the sparkplug wire over the shielding
Put the connector on and make sure the core contacts the metal
Crimp the connector back onto the sparkplug wire
Push the boot back over the connector
Reinstall the sparkplug wire
If it works you're riding again, if it doesn't work at least you tried

Always remember nothing is broken until you try to fix it then if it doesn't work it's not a big deal because it was already broken!
