Hi All,

Joined the Victory world a few weeks ago when I picked up an '02 V92TC Deluxe with 31k miles. Loving it, but...

Went out on a nice long ride yesterday. Really gave me a chance to become familiar with my new bike, and I have nothing but love for it. However, after our lunch stop, when I went to restart, I noticed some horrible starter noise. It still cranks and starts, but it's one of those "I may be working now, but I won't be forever" type sounds - kind of like a loud whirring/whining sounds.

I'm guessing (but could be totally wrong) that it's the starter clutch - wondering if anyone has any insights as to what exactly t is, and if there are any inexpensive/easy fix things to look for short of full parts replacements?

You may need to disassemble and clean the starter. Sometimes it's as simple as a dried out bearing. Otherwise a new one is in the $100 area, so not too bad.
