I just can't convince the wife that the Victory is the way to go. She won't have anything but a Harley but, I have had those and not sure I want another. Anyway, after being on V-Twin forums for about an hour tonight, it reminds me of why I started looking at Vics in the first place. Most of those guys are narrow minded and can't accept the idea of another bike besides HD. Kinda the same thing I feel when you walk into a Harley dealer and they act like they are doing you a favor by being open or something. There rant over, sorry.

What kind of bike are you looking for; bagger, cruiser, sport cruiser? What are you looking to do with it; cruise, tour, two up?

You will find the same thing about some Victory owners.
Really.? Why would Victory owners be like "alot" of Harley owners? I like both but, I want something that requires less to maintain and loses the poser crowd.

Still looking somewhere in the Vegas line I think.

For a lot of people buying a bike is a passionate thing. They defend it right or wrong good or bad and slam other brands.

This isn't speculation it is fact based off of my experience with a lot Victory owners that act that way.

I honestly, only know 1 person currently that rides a Vic. I am surprised to hear that actually. I assumed that most people went with Victory to get away from the stereotypical A-Bag Harley attitude.

I am sure I had a bit of a raw attitude when I rode. Mainly, towards the guys trying to run me over in their two ton office-on-wheels. Oh, and the people that complain about the smell or sound of your bike sitting on the curb warming up.

I said we could do that exact same thing and she wasn't happy. She is one of those Harley snobs. No matter how many times I tell her all the advantages to riding a Vic she won't listen. But, you are right when it comes down to the purchase, it is what I want to ride that will make me happy not what someone else likes.

my girlfriend is like that, loves the harley. has all the harley clothes and her bedroom is a shrine to harley. funny thing tho, till she met me she had never even been on a bike. she loves my vic but still loves the harley name. man whatever they pay madison avenue is worth it. doesn't bother me too much cuz she makes up for it in other ways. thumb up
