Is it possible to remover the baffle from the stock exhaust?
If so, how hard is it and will it imporve sound/performance?
I dont mind the look for the current exhaust but I want more sound and power.

Yes you can remove them.
Personally I think it sound like crap with the baffles out, but that is subjective.
And yes it will hurt your performance.

Yes, you are reducing your back pressure there is less restriction which results in less efficient scavenging. Removing the baffles can detract from the "ideal" scavenging effects, and reduce fuel efficiency and power if not properly planned out and executed.

VRat,
That makes sense so I ask.
What do I do to get better sounds and performance? Having worked on cars you get the power from freeing up flow (exhaust intake) but the computer learns and makes changes. How do I accomplish this with an EFI motorcycle?

If I remember correctly the factory slip-on stage 1's for the kingpin made great power and sound good. You might even be able to find a used set.
