I certainly didn't need the Cross Country Extreme Audio system for my CCT. I honestly can't remember the last time I even used the OEM speaker system. But I did buy a half helmet last year which doesn't really play well with the Sena helmet system I use with my Shark Evoline ST3 helmet. The half helmet doesn't really have means to mount helmet speakers.

I received the 6 speaker fairing extreme audio system last week. I'll try to get it installed in the coming weeks. I'll also likely install the gloss pearl white inner fairing I picked up at a stupid low price a few months ago. I missed an early opportunity at a set of the gloss pearl white extreme audio saddlebag lids a few weeks ago and kind of decided to let the saddlebag system slide. Not so fast. The saddlebag extreme audio speaker kit and the amp should arrive tomorrow. So the next thing was to try and find a set of the extreme saddlebag audio lids. A few phone calls and sure enough, I found some. Not in gloss pearl white but it seems I got the very last set Polaris had in stock. A set of the Plasma Green ones which I'll then have to get painted. The plasma green lids show as "In Transit" to the dealer and they should get them on Monday at the latest. If, for some reason, they don't show, I have another option in another color at a different dealer. I may hold off on the saddlebag system installation for a while because I really didn't plan on spending the money for that part of the system. Plus the added expense of now needing to get them painted to match my CCT. I was told by a dealer yesterday that a dealer in California (Gino something) bought a BUNCH of the Polaris Victory accessories inventory.

Why did I buy the Extreme Audio system? Mostly because they simply look awesome and once they're gone, they're gone. I know there are 'better' systems out their. But quite frankly at over 60% off, it's tough to beat. And I don't have audiophile ears anyway.

So now the Victory website lists the saddlebag speaker and amp kits as "Temporailty Out Of Stock". On the other items, once they were sold out, they're no longer even listed. So the question is kind of two fold.

If/when the saddlebag speaker and amp kits make a return, what about the saddlebag lids? The speaker grills are a specific design that need the lids to get properly mounted. It would be nice if Polaris came back out with the unpainted saddlebag lids. Why have so many more speaker kits than speaker lid kits?

I did have one Parts guy at a very well known dealer tell me to "just cut a hole in my stock lids to mount the Victory speaker kit." He honestly had no idea that really wouldn't work. The saddlebag lids made for the speaker kit have a specially formed section just for the speaker and grill design.

I'll likely sell the Victory XM radio once I remove it to mount the fairing amp. My 2012 CCT has the factory HID which I have no intention of removing. And maybe also sell the hydraulic clutch kit I bought a few months ago as well. It's still sitting on a shelf on my office bookcase. Those two items would pay for the entire Extreme Audio system.

My Extreme Saddlebag bag amp and speaker kits showed up on Wednesday. The saddlebag speaker lids showed up at the dealer yesterday and were shipped to me today. I just checked the Victory website and they no longer list the Cross bike saddlebag amp. Yesterday they listed the Cross bike (Non Magnum) saddlebag amp as Temporarily Out Of Stock. I guess not, they seem to be gone from Polaris now.

They do still show the saddlebag speaker kit and it still shows Temporarily Out Of Stock. No idea if that will also be dropped or if they have another batch 'on the water' coming over from China. The speaker kit is very well packaged but having Made In China in big bold text under the Polaris logo is a bit unenthusiastic.

The saddlebag speaker lids have all been removed from the website for a while.

But, Randy's Cycle in Marengo, IL came through AGAIN. They had the speaker kit and the amp kit in stock and honored the blowout sale price. They didn't have any saddlebag speaker lids but while I was on the phone with them they found 1 set that was still available in the Polaris warehouse. Anthony, the Randy's Cycle parts guy who was helping me ordered them right away. He went above and beyond for me repeatedly and told me they'd have to wait and see if the speaker lids were actually available. They've been burned on things that showed plenty of stock just to see the order get rejected. Sure enough, 24 hours later he called me back and said he was able to trace their PO and the saddlebag lid item number. The saddlebag lids showed as shipped from Polaris. Again Anthony told me it looked good but he'd feel better about confirming it when they actually show up at their place on Friday. Anthony called me on Friday when they arrived and shipped them to me today. I should see them by Wednesday.

Yea, they're Plasma Green and will have to be painted to match my CCT gloss pearl white. But Randy's Cycle found them when other dealers said everything was gone in every color and even the item numbers were deleted from the Polaris system. I have no idea how Anthony found them at Polaris when others couldn't. But I sure am glad he did.

Visited Randy's a few years ago impressive place, hope they find their way to a brand that appreciates a dealer that's worked to build a good reputation.

Yeah Randy came through on a couple things for me too like the crank sensor. He said he plans on sticking around so hope so.

Polaris is riding Randy pretty hard to bring on Indian. But it's a minimum investment (loan) of $500,000. That's like needing to sell 15 bikes a month for many years for it to work out.

I have no insight of any kind with Polaris. I have no idea how long Scott W and Steve M will be around. I'd 'guess' that Polaris Indian is safe as long as those two are at Polaris. But who knows, when or if they were to leave Polaris, the next management team could close Polaris Indian just these guys closed Victory.

I plan on riding my Victory for as long as I'm riding. I mean, the actual name is Victory and should say it all. How could these nitwits turn Victory in to defeat so casually? Amazingly sad. There's just no telling what's in Polaris' future as I'm sure everything in their porfolio could be turned over in the coming years.

I was just looking at the vic site, and they say that the extreme system does not work with the cc 8ball? Why would that be the case? Is the wiring different? Is the mounting of the components different?

Not sure why it wouldn't work. I can't imagine Polaris using a different radio setup for a single Cross bike variation. Then again, on many occasions for as long as I can remember, the Victory website has often been wrong about what fits what model.

Unless others know for sure the 6 speaker extreme fairing audio system won't work, I'd suspect it will.

I read a financial article recommending NOT to invest in Polaris because their top management are making one bad decision after another and that their stock will continue to tank. And when your stock holders are unhappy, the top brass will pay the piper. Next team in.... who knows what they will do.
