The left has lost it!
I'm reminded about how the left had most the insane asylums closed for fear they would end up in them. This terrorist leader was a kindred spirit of the leftist leaders and their cohort leftist activists in the US main stream media. They mourn the loss of one of their own American enemies. Crazy time. Bizarro world.

Here is some lite reading from the libertarian side , we don't see things the same as some here do.

The first article is about the purposeful lying that has kept the war in Afghanistan going:
which begs the question of why should we believe our government now about the necessity of a new war with Iran in the near future.

The second one discusses the constitutionality of the recent presidentially ordered assassination(s) in Iraq. Did President Trump break his oath to uphold the constitution when he ordered those assassinations ?
A Lawless Political Assassination | Judge Andrew P. Napolitano

There are some excellent links in the first one, it's well documented. The second article was written by Judge Andrew P. Napolitano who is a Senior Judicial Analyst at Fox News. Click on his name it takes you to his bio.

Before you discount Scott Horton the guy being interviewed

and listen to some of his interview shows and decide if he knows of what he speaks.

You will only be out a little time.

That was his opinion and just an opinion. I don't think the U.S.A would have any problem destroying Iran in a weeks time. Would they retaliate in years down the road? Probably, We have had problems with them for 200 years. Will it ever stop? Yeah it will at the battle of Armageddon and when will that be? Your guess is as good as mine. The only reason we are in the Mideast is to control the oil for us and western Europe. Now have we gone at it in a good way? No not really there may have been a better way and it may or may not have had a better out come. Back in the early 70's Iran was a thriving modern educated country. But enough people did not like the way the Shah of Iran was operating and governing the country. The Shah ran the country from September 1941 until February 1979 when the revolutionary government over though his reign as their ruler. They did not like the changes that the Shah had made. Modern dress and education for women and Western ways of life. So they took the country back to the dark era of the past in many ways. Stoning people to death, cutting of their heads. If a daughter or a son dishonors their father. Just drag her or him out into the street and cut of their head. Do I agree with this mentality? No, Is there away to get them to change the way they believe and the brutal way they live and rule? Well, I can only think of one way and It would stop it for a while, but it would probably go back to the old ways in time. So what do we do Joe?

The forever wars aren't just about the need for oil. Be great if they were since were now a major player in the oil production market.
"Today, Saudi Arabia ranks behind both Russia and the United States in terms of oil production. As of 2019, OPEC's share remains around 30 percent."
(first article linked below)
Unfortunately it turns out that these wars are how we finance our debt. I know what I said doesn't sound right but read this article and it will begin to make sense.
( Huge Debt Got Us Hooked on Petrodollars — and on Saudi Arabia | Ryan McMaken

While that article explains the mechanism , this article by Michael Hudson explains how that mechanism has been put into action over the past few wars and some of the political aspects of it. I just ignore the climate change BS till they come up with a provable working model so we can tell what is actually going on and access our input into the problem. But that is another discussion.
( America Escalates its “Democratic” Oil War in the Near East | The Vineyard of the Saker )

This interview of Michael Hudson further clarifies the above article.
( The Saker interviews Michael Hudson | The Vineyard of the Saker )
These Iranians are not the problem. Our debt we have created and are creating through unnecessary wars, present and past, as well as our love of socialism is what is the problem.

In this conflict we're witnessing the present government striving to preserve the status quo which requires a great deal of lying and misinformation to get the public to buy into it.

Our present solution to dealing with our debt through wars, this one with the Iranians or the last 3or so , is kicking the can down the road rather than solving the problem.
Any politician would be committing political suicide by bucking the narrative . Ask Ron Paul how that worked for him. Or Gabbard how it is working for her.

What that means is the problem will only be solved by informed voters acting to change the governments present course to something more in line with our constitution.

This problem will not be fixed by electing a different president nor impeaching this one. The problem is economic in nature so it can only be changed by fixing the economic problems which are the underlying cause of it.
A war with Iran does nothing but make the problem worse by piling on more debt which makes us both poorer and less safe at the same time.

The real solution begins with a a rethink on what we are doing overall at a grassroots level. That said, the first step is to lower our costs by bring American troops home, pronto. Right now we have been asked to leave by the democratic government that we destroyed Iraq and shed American blood while spending trillions of dollars to establish. We should respect that request.

I don't think anyone wants to see Iran with nukes. They are radical enough to us them. I think the best thing to do is totally isolate Iran. That is much of what President Trump is doing now with all the sanctions. The mentality of the world is pretty much like it was 4,000 years ago. Just more advanced and destructive in waging wars. The Persians were a threat then and they are now. They always will be until the second coming.

There are many in the Middle East who are just normal everyday people wanting to live their lives in peace much like here in America and most the world; including North Korea. It's always the leadership that's the problem and it this case it couldn't be more glaring.

One good bellwether is where the Christian populations are growing. Ironically, due to radicalized leftism (dems), it's going down in America.

I don't believe Islam is compatible with western values and certainly not with Christianity so as long as it stays in the countries it's prevalent in; there's no problem. The UK is already infected beyond the point of ever coming back. Europe is soon to follow in all the countries that welcomed all the ME refugees unless they can deport them and their offspring back to the ME. One exception would be those who renounce Islam; the quasi-religion which is really just a political and military ideology.

How Trump Rebelled Against The Generals
MoA has a fascinating analysis of the impact of Hillary and Trump on America's “triangle of power,” the corporate, executive government, and military factions. The Comments contain some fresh insights that help explain recent power struggles.

Definitely a long read and while I can agree Cocaine Import Agency (CIA) does a lot of shady things for specious reasons and that war is a business that does a lot of harm; some of the other points appear to be out of context such as the timing of taking out the terrorist leader. Trump has been trying to get out of these countries or at least dial way down on the number of troops and equipment there so when the author says there isn't anti-missile equipment there after taking out Salami; there's a reason.

Anyway; interesting, if long, take on current events. I hope Trump isn't surrounded by "yes men" but rather men that tell him the facts and not just what he wants to hear. Such people do no one any good.

Everyone knows this impeachment sham is nothing but a desparate political ploy by the dems to slow down the good work of this President and congress. My hope is these bad dem actors in the House are fully repaid at election time and kicked to the curb where they belong. Actually they deserve to be flushed into a cesspool settling pond so these turds can float or sink where they belong. Meanwhile the wall is going up, the new NAFTA that includes China is in effect, the economy is full steam ahead, and good fair judges are being installed (over 180 so far). Just to name some of the highlights of this Administration.

I worry some about what the radical left is going to do after the November elections. Trump is locked in for re-election and the left may go wild. There will be a record turn out for Republicans and I think Democrat turn out will be low. The Democrat's know that Trump has got the election in the bag so they want bother going to the polls.

Going back in history a hundred years ago. World War 1 had ended and the American economy was good until 1929 and we had the stock market crash. I'm afraid that history will repeat it's self if the democrats get back into power. With another Great Depression. I have heard many stories from my Great grand parents, grand parents, parents and aunts and uncles about that era. One of my granddads laid brick streets down town. They got a penny a brick if I remember right. A hundred bricks got you a dollar, a thousand got you 10 dollars. He only worked a half a day then a new crew would come in the second half. They did that so more people had a job and could make some money. No food stamps or welfare back then. My mother and her 6 brothers lived in a 2 bed room house no indoor plumbing. My other granddad was a farmer. They had no money but plenty to eat because the raised their own food and set it up to irrigate the garden with the windmill. Raised hogs, chickens and had milk cows and hunted a lot. My grandad and a uncle ran a trap line and had problems with the game warden from time to time. My dad only had a sister, so his family didn't have as many mouths to feed as my mothers. Those were hard times and people worked from daylight to dark. I'm sure if it happened again we would survive. I just don't want to see it happen again. I guess if it did I'd make a still and start making cheap whiskey and boat leg it to make a living. LOL!!!

I was born in Chicago in 1936, the depths of Great Depression. Times were very hard in the big cities. Then WWII came along. I was taught to respect money in many ways, to save / invest and the difference between a need and a want. Too many today don't practice that difference and are in great debt.
I thank my parents for those lessons as I am now experiencing a comfortable retirement, even after being self employed and no 401k. They taught me to save for what I want and get interest rather than financing and pay interest. My wife is the same, so when we bought the Spyder, we used the matured US savings bonds that both us bought many years ago - even before we met. Thanks Uncle Sam!

I pray that this impeachment trial is over in 2 weeks at the longest. Clintons went on for over a year just to have him acquitted in the Democratic controlled senate. We know President Trump will be acquitted by the Republican controlled senate now. Plus there's no crime in the first place. This is crap and the Democrats have gone bat **** crazy. They are acting like a bunch of junior high school girls and everything they try fails. Hell the FBI couldn't even bring Trump down. The Democrats have absolutely did everything they accused Trump of doing and more. This is all so petty and stupid and a bunch of our politicians need to get paddled and detention hall for 2 weeks. With classes on how to conduct them selves in a adult professional manor.

The news is going to be dominated by the impeachment trial for the next 2 or 3 weeks. I hope no longer than that. If they end up calling witnesses it may go a week or 2 longer. I hope that they don't do that and get the damned trial over fast. I'm already sick of it. They keep going on about the polls that say Trump should be kicked out of the presidency. They have been rigging polls as long as I remember. Just like the polls that said Trump had little or no chance to win in 2016. Look how wrong that was. The swap is fighting back anyway they can to get a outsider out. Trump has screwed up their whole life and has showed the world just how corrupt they are in D.C. So what are they going to do next????????????????
