just for my sanity i pulled it out this morn and went for a ride.
seeings my ride is stock and the wheel set at 4 degrees didnt
seem to me to make a difference in mileage or power and even
felt like off idle hesitated a little, i am making a comparison.
havent tried 2 up yet so not comparing apples to apples but
it actually seems smoother. maybe wife will quit yard work before it rains and we can take a ride.

Now that's a crazy thing to do for one's sanity!:) The Lloydz timing wheel made a big improvement in my bike, maybe yours was a better runner from the get-go.

You'd think the timing wheel would help. Have you tried moving up the scale any...like to about 7+? I have mine there and not a trace of pinging.

It stead of taking it out why didn't you put it to zero it would of been the same as stock.

The wheel only give you a little power say like 3 horse. But it makes you motor way smoother and you go from zero to 60mph in a blink of a eye.
For better gas mileage it does do that but you have to ride a hundred miles to see the in crease. To find out your mileage do the math on your phone not what the bike says.
Do you have your 02's hooked up or un-hooked?

With the Timing Gear @ +4 and Dobeck tuner I have plenty of power and Great gas mileage.

40-43 mpg 2 up and 46 average alone and I ride aggressively...

Why would you take the wheel out and now you don't ride it for a hole week.
There is something fishy here and you said you could not feel any power gain or mileage in crease. :crzy:

did you ever hear of the word -"rain"?dont usually get it out
till the weekend. and i dont fish.
i still ride a victory, timing wheel or not. and i dont have to worry
about the bolts loosening. im glad you guys are happy w/yours.
if i want to try it again, i have the reusable gasket. i tried a
couple of different settings. never had pinging, also didnt have
any happier feeling on the butt dyno.to each his own.

Irv...yeah, us Oregonians know rain alright. But I'm glad its raining in the Midwest so all that corn for ethanol gets irrigated and we'll have plenty of that stuff to put in our fuel. That's one the best things our gov't has come up with; paying farmers to grow crap corn and then paying companies to process it and paying companies to haul it and mandating that 10% of our fuel be ethanol so our gas mileage can suffer by 10 to 15%. So there's a silver lining in your rain clouds.
When you sell your timing wheel, you'll have extra money to compensate for the lower fuel mileage. Gotta look at the bright side of things, Irv.:)

I don't really feel any horse power in my butt. I do notice how much faster / quicker I get to 65 mph. That tells me there is improvement.
Wish we were closer you cold ride mine then your and I think you would feel the difference

update. spent over 200 miles of mostly hilly , curvy back roads
of nw ill and sw wis yesterday. lots of less than overdrive running 2 up.
still got 45 mpg and it was between 87-93 degrees. with the wheel out
it seems like my off idle from a stop is better and the rest is unchanged.
maybe mine is a little advanced or im just retarded but its working great.O2's are left unplugged . probably blow up now. thanks
for reading and happy riding w/whatever you have.--:D

i dont have paypal anymore. i dont want other people to not
have that euphoric feeling that i didnt feel with the wheel. i
do send and receive money orders. i think i mght have done to that
to ric for his world famous laydown bracket.[no charge for the
testimonial]
