They just got the road opened up this year-missed the Memorial Day opening they try for by a week-it just kept on snowing up high this May & drifting the road closed.I make a yearly pilgrimage over the top as soon as I can every year & this is one of the better snow packs I've seen up there.

Where is this?
Northern Colorado. I've ridden it once many years ago...Great road!

From Wikipedia:

Trail Ridge Road is the name for a stretch of U.S. Highway 34 and is the highest continuous paved road in the United States.[2] Also known as Trail Ridge Road/Beaver Meadow National Scenic Byway, it traverses Rocky Mountain National Park from Estes Park, Colorado in the east to Grand Lake, Colorado in the west.
