I have a 2008 Vegas 8-ball with 18000 miles on it it has the 100ci and 5speed there is a clacking sound that occurs in the Tranny when bike is I any gear the noise increases speed as the real wheel increases speed I checked the compensator and found it has slight wear on it so I added 0.010 to the compensator to take up some slack and the noise still occurs does any 1 have any info on this

Check your belt and pulleys.

Get the back wheel off the deck and put in gear while running to see if you can find where the noise is coming from. Noise can travel on these Vic's quite a bit. A couple of us thought we had a primary noise a while back and it ended up being the belt. It's one of the Victory quirks.

Rub some bar soap on both sides of the belt to see if the noise goes away.

I will definitely try that thank you but the noise continues even with the wheel stopped and the bike in neutral
