Plus running big tube headers but into a big yet un-ofensive exhaust.

Damn man, she's pretty. I wouldn't kick her out of my garage, for sure.
Also had my eye on a 1972 Riviera for a long time, but couldn't make it happen...

Well you good ol boyz know what it is
Most here dont.
Nor can they get their head around the fact the 455 is purely a Buick mill.
Thats ok though.
Gonna buy some oil system flush soon as the shop opens this morning and run it through the engine with some cheap oil for a few miles, then dump it out and change the filter.
Went to change it last night but the Ryco Z30 they sold me is a bit longer than the KN2003 thats on there now and Im sure itll foul the sway bar mount.
Oiling these things is a sore point cos of the design and location of the pump.
Cant go too thick on viscosity, Ive joined a US forum (V8 Buick) for all the good oil on my engine, just like this forum theres a wealth of info, bonus it seems devoid of political and religous crap.
So far anyway....
Shop opens in 20 mins so Im outta here.
Oh rang the bloke in New Jersey that freshened her up, got voiper on my puter so can ring international for 8c, had a good chat with Ron.
Gotta stay up late to do it but Im a night owl.

What's the plan for the car? I'm secretly hoping you're not going to beat it at the drag strip but going to use it as a nice driver. Fairly rare car anymore be a shame to beat it up.

Beating it up would be entering a demolition derby or circuit racing like Im gonna be flag marshalling at this weekend.
A little drag racing wont hurt it mate.
Geeze if I use its full potential on the street theyd lock me up and throw the key away.
Theres a time and place to drive a muscle car the way God intended...and thats on a drag strip.

So it is a fast classic car ? Thats even nicer .... Is the engine performance up to spec ? Cylinder pressures / rebuilds in the past etc ... I just cannot get over how clean that car looks, just spotless ... Did you find anything not spotess ?

Had it on my mates hoist for roadworthiness inspection..
He was in asolute awe at the condition of it.
The stuff ya cant see normally.
The guy that restored this went to extremes.
Yeah mate shes a Heavy Metal Hauler!
Motor Trend ran top ten muscle cars down the strip in 1970.
Only 2 cars were quicker.
427 Vette came second.
Shelby AC Cobra came first obviously.
And a luxo barge with air n steer came third

Here ya go Ill let youse look up her skirt.
Only a mate would do that:wink

Last pic is from the big box of history I got with the car .
Mill is running forged pistons and '70 spec TA cam and TS valves, USA went a bit soft on muscle in '71 and detuned most of the heavy hitters.
This beast breathes properly ..
Check the stainless 4-1 headers!
According to the papers I got on the build she shipped out with Hush Thrush mufflers but someones subdued the bark with a pair of local Redback glasspacks.
Add she still sounds Tuff as all fk but not likely to attract the feds.

Theres 3 photo albums of pix, all the old titles, every fkn thing , that stuffs like gold!
