I bought these flag kits Rumbling Pride: CCM Flag Kit Combo (Cruiser Class Mounting System) from Rumbling Pride with the intent of mounting them on the trunk brace but when I tried to remove the allen head bolts they were extremely tight. It appears that they were installed with permanent Lock Tight. Any suggestions on how to remove the bolts without breaking something?

OK, a bit of UTube research and found the answer. Heat. Now to apply heat without destroying the trunk. :-(

Warm them with a heat gun, just warm so as to not hurt the surrounding plastic. Use an allen socket on an extension, if necessary, and tap on the wrench handle with a hammer. Tap, not pound, to jar them loose.

Yup, I got them out and they didn't appear to have loctite on them. Just damn tight.

Before re-installing those bolts, apply some anti-seize to the threads. Goo idea to do that to any bolts that don't get removed often and are exposed to the elements.
