In the market for a used Vic I think. I really like the looks and price of the V92C & TC. I realize the Kingpin originally took their place. What advantage does the Kingpin have over the V92 before the engine & transmission upgrade? Sorry for the long post. Thanks to everyone
for the valuable information.

I've owned both. I have a 2003 V92C now. The Kingpin handles marginally better, mainly due to the inverted forks. The V92C is heavier but has a larger tank. I've ridden both 10-13 hour days several times. Either one will do. Just make sure that you get at least a 2002 V92C to get the Freedom engine. TC is longer and heavier. MAY give you a better ride, not sure as I've never been on one. I would go with 1) Whichever you find the best deal on; 2) Which one fits you best and 3) Which one you like the looks of best. You can't go wrong, either way.

I would go for a Kingpin...2006 or 2007. The handling on the Kingpin is a huge improvement over the V92C. Plus, if you get a 2006 or above you get a 100 CI motor and 6 speed trans. The choice also comes down to money...how much are you willing to spend.

Personally, I'd go with the KP. Was never a fan of the older ones before they overhauled their lineup's appearance. They're both solid bikes, but I like the KP in pretty much every aspect over the older TCs. I say take both out and ride them...try to get an extended test ride. Fit and feel is hugely important on bikes. As for power, you can pull plenty out of either. And handling, that's mainly important if you ride more aggressively.

Thanks for the reply's. I know I am in the minority but I actually like the V92 "look". When you guys say the "KP handle better" in what way? My use for a bike is going to be strictly recreational cruising
with occasional two up riding. Thanks again for the responses.thumb up

Better lean angle and responsiveness for the handling. Honestly, if you've never dragged pegs in the past, that will likely be a non-factor anyhow. I say if you like the V92's looks and you feel comfortable on it, go for it! You're the one paying for and riding it. :)
