this is all new to me but here we go, I bought an 07 jackpot three weeks ago great bike but there seems to be a little excessive vibration which gets worse the longer I ride. The first time I noticed it I went back to the dealer they found bad plug wires and a wire that was grounding out and the back cylinder was not fireing any ideas what it could be now. thanks for any help

left work today bike ran good crusing at 70 on the interstate had to make a stop on the way home, slow traffic stop and go. vibration back running a little like it did before plug wires and wire grounding out were fixed. I still really like my Jackpot just need to get this fixed.

noticed today once i get below 1 1/2 gallons of gas motor starts to run a little rough, the lower the gas gets the rougher it runs theres my vibration, fill up and after a while it starts to smooth out is this normal?

Sounds like you have some crud in your tank that gets moved around a lot while you have a lot of gas and plugs up your fuel line when the gas gets low. You should have a micro screen in the connector for your fuel line fron the tank. The screen is most likely the problem but the only way to find out for sure is to pul your tank, dump it out and remove the valve. Once you do that you may want to get some alcohol and swish about 1/4 of the bottle around in your tank. Once that's done repeat a couple more times to make sure you got all the crud out. Use the last of the alcohol to flush out the valve and the screen.

This should do the trick. If you want to avoid the crappy gas try to go to newer gas stations or stations with newer storage tanks. If you see a fuel truck filling the tanks at a gas station don't get gas there for at least an hour after the truck leaves. When they pump in new gas all the crud in the bottom of the tank gets stirred up; some of that ends up in cars and bikes.

Also check your fuel lines for damage and make sure they aren't collapsing. If you are in an area that uses E85 ethanol you'll have to try to avoid those stations. E85 can mess up fuel lines and fuel pumps on vehicles that are not flex fuel ready.

I just wanted to add to this thread instead of starting a new one.
I have an 03 Vegas and I'm having the same kind of problem during cruising around 70-80mph. Funny thing is bike starts super smooth but after 15-20 minutes of riding say 75mph it starts vibrating but if I come to a stop just for a minute and go back to the 75 it becomes smooth again for 15-20 minutes before it starts vibrating again.
I rode for almost 300 miles yesterday on wide open roads so I had plenty of opportunities to test it.
And to ammo hub, I do have a brand spanking new fuel pump on my bike with only 500 miles on it.
Also I changed my oil friday so new oil too.
I got the bike about 6 months ago and I have every single service record done by Vic dealership and used Vic oil so I'm using vic oil.

I would have your fuel pressure checked. It should be a steady 49psi.

So how do one checks the fuel pressure since bike needs to run for at least 15 minutes @ 75mph?
And since coming to a stop briefly fixes the issue by the time it gets hooked up to the machine pressure would be back to normal. ( I'm only guessing since vibration goes away after a brief stop)
One of the best mods I have done is replacing the OEM plug wires. I got some from Witchdoctor. Best $33 I ever spent.

The gauge will show low pressure regardless of speed, it's an electronic fuel pump. With low pressure, your bike will get enough juice to run at idle or with decreased demand, but once the need rises from constant running at more open throttle positions, it needs the extra pressure that may not be there..... get it checked.

Any results on why your bike is doing this? My 08 Jackpot is doing the same thing especially after a long ride on the highway. It happened to me today after being on the highway for 30 minutes. When I got off the highway it started vibating bad. I talked with a victory mechanic that I know and he stated that the bike is running lean.

I don't know is the 08 has an O2 sensor but if it does you might wanna disconnect it. Also in my case while I was waiting for my new pump I cleaned my throttle bodies and the air filter but I didn't do tps reset when I went back to the shop to talk to the guys just happened to see another 03 Vegas there and as I was explaining to them what was happening he said do a tps reset and that should take care it and sure enough after the reset bike started to run smooth as it ever did.

I checked my spark plugs tonight and they were both white around the electrode and black soot at the bottom of the porclin. I think my problem might be the intake boot leaking. The 08's were known for intake boots falling apart. I picked up the revised intake boot and new orings this morning. You can't reset the tps on 08 and newer. I'm definately running on the lean side. All I have for upgrades is K&N filter with vented airbox cover and a powercommander.

I found the problem, my intake boot is peeling around the aluminum base. That would explain why it has been getting worse. I picked up another intake boot today and it has a different part number. The dealer said that all 08's had this problem.
