I almost used a subject of "now me banggood" ....

I got around to mounting up and wiring my 4x6w LED driving lights from Banggood last night. As many others have mentioned, pretty nice items for the price.

I found a good 12vt trigger source under the seat from an unused plug, installed a relay with primary power off battery, mounted a small toggle switch on the bottom of my left side panel to make it easy to turn these off (dawn, dusk, night), and I think everything came out in good shape.

I know you want a triangle of light for driver attention, but I didn't like how they looked on my Hammer down low.

Here's the head on view with them turned on (and there was daylight streaming in the garage windows behind me). I'll post a few more pics with some other angles in a min.

1. Pic of only the HID headlight on

2. Pic of just the driving lights on (I just placed a thick towel over my headlight to cover up the beam)

3. Pic of both of them on, which is so bright my camera seemed to dim everything in order to get the shot.

the reason I asked is if you hit a bad pot hole it could jam into your fender

I see what caught your eye. There is no stud. That is just a shadow created by the indention on part of the brake system (part where one line enters and two lines leave for the dual discs) as it provides access to the bolt holding the brake assembly splitter in place.

I found this thread during my search for running lights for my 12 CCT. The images are missing so I can't see how you connect the lights. Also, which lights did you get? I am having difficulty finding the 4x6w lights.

I think I found them:

LED CREE R2 Driving Spot Light Daytime Running Light Bike Car motorcycle

I'm no electrical expert, so I'm asuming having two of these hooked to an Ignition-powered wire is not going to be an issue for the bikes electrical system? I guess having installed them yourself, I suppose it's NOT an issue. Just musing out loud.

Wolf... One last question: did these overheat and shut off at any time? I see that one level up from them have a temperature shut off switch.
