When is Victory going to get involved in racing...[Flat-Track] ?

For those who haven't been following...Flat-Track has been dominated by HD for the most part for several years. Lately Kawasaki, Ducati, Aprilia KTM, & Triumph have become involved and doing pretty well . Matter of fact Bryan Smith on the Kawasaki EX-650 has back-to-back wins [on miles] this season. At Springfield & Sacramento .

Nothing against HD for sure...but IMO competition from many brands improves any racing. If for no other reason ?...it usually draws yet more spectators [fans of that brand] I would really like too see Vic, get into it. After "cutting their teeth" no reason they couldn't do well.

Anyone heard anything ?

The 2015 season is only about 1/3 over, with many good races across the nation still to come. Three good mile races for example...DuQuoin, Il July 4 & Indy July 11, and of course the fall mile @ Springfield Sept.6

1) Victory has a NHRA race team, and Project 156 for pikes peak. Also Roland Sands has a Victory project for 200 mph. (Not there yet)

2) Flat track is sanitation by AMA rules, which favor H-D. Most classes are sub 1000 CC

3) Maybe a Polaris/Victory/Indian Scout engine will come along.

1.) Project 200 is dead....Victory also has an electric bike competing at the Isle of Man TT.

2.) Most bikes are sub 1Kcc. The used to be dominant HD is a 750.

3.) The Project 156 cited above is using a liquid cooled variant of the Scout engine.

Thanks for the info !

As you noted..the HD XR750 was king for a long time, but lately been getting spanked by a 650 Kaw. And Triumph has started winning a few here & there. Hopefully this will lead to advancements by HD, then advancements by ??...and so on....outcome ?...should be better racing !

Nursing a wounded foot this year...but hope to make [all] the Mile races next season. And will keep an eye on Pikes-Peak date, as I have never seen it...but would like too.
