What are people buying to replace the OEM item with? I see the official factory starter solenoid for $48 to $68 at the online parts places. I also see the aftermarket ones for anywhere from $7 to about $28. It looks like some have the correct oem orientation with the battery cable studs going across the frame and some have the battery cable studs going lengthwise with the frame.

I know some people say the Polaris one is junk but mine is still working fine at 62,500 miles. And yes, I've ridden a lot of those miles in heavy rain. It's not like Polaris makes these items, they're just sourced from the aftermarket. Likely the lowest bid won the supply contract. I'm simply replacing it along with the 40amp breaker just because I'm doing some other PM work this winter.

Those links didn't get me to the correct page, but when I copied them and pasted them into the "Im shopping for" bar, it worked.

I did the CB replacement last year just on a because. Solenoid should be a solenoid. Heck if you have room you could probably use the old Ford style. You can pick those up at the pars house for about $5
