I rode in a 22 mph crosswind yesterday and passed 18 wheelers on the freeway. I didn't experience any more buffeting on the Vision than I did on the Wing.
I see people making comments about the buffeting and I just don't get it. It's a motorcycle and if you don't feel the wind you are not riding.

I am getting really tempted

I am so close to owning a 2011 pearl white Vision. Your comments are pushing me over the edge. When I get the GW out of the shop it is GONE!

I live in Wyoming"Windy Wyoming." I've experienced 40 mph cross winds and haven't noticed any real difference compared to the Ultra Limited I traded in Aug.Any big tourer gets blown around, especially passing trucks. Now a 40 mph headwind, gas milage dropped signifcantly from 40 to 30 on the Harley,on my Vision 43 to 40. Aerodynamics much improved with a lot less drag and not much buffeting at all.The batwing was comfortable but moved through the air like a retaining wall.

Little issue of money

C'mon Larry, ya slacker:D What are you waiting for? Drop the hammer and join the Pearly White movement!!!
I have to have my trade in order to swing the pearl white Vision. The GW will be out of the shop on Tuesday after 9 weeks in the hospital. One stinking part wasn't available in the states. Next Friday or Saturday will be the day.

Totally agree. My Vision is no different than any of the goldwings I have owned when it comes to the wind. My vision just happens to be a lot more comfortable for me :)

I've riding goldwings for 22 years prior to purchasing my 2012 Vision recently. I've found that the Vision has a much better "bubble" than the goldwing. It also handles crosswinds better. The goldwing had a higher center of gravity and tended to be more squirly in any situation. One of the big differences is that my wife says that she doesn't get blown around nearly as much on the Vision. A happy wife on the back makes the trip much more enjoyable.
