I noticed that the chrome is pretty well oxidized on the underside of the chrome luggage rack. How difficult is it to take this off? I was looking at the inside of the lid. It appears that there are 4-6 allen head black screws to take off to access where the luggage rack was attached.

Any issues, concerns I might have overlooked. Depending on the cost I will have it re-chromed / powder coated over the winter.

THanks for the plug D, but what he has going on under there isn't dirty chrome, it's havily corroded as the OEM chrome on those Kuryakyn made-for-Vic racks is TERRIBLE on 8 out of 10 and a lack of keeping it meticulous just makes it go all to hell. I've had several just out of the box in my hands and the underside chrome is already greening and/or poorly adhered at the welds.
Matter of fact D, if you remember, the reason I first started making my billet trunk racks for the Visions was exactly because of this OEM inferior chrome issue. Owner after owner contacted me about this issue, so I know it very well.

'Hat, before you invest any money into that one check out the several different ones I make for your bike on my site at http://www.cycleopsusa.com/custombillet.html#vr. I assure you that you will find the quality of our products, and especially our chrome, will blow you away compared to your stocker.

If you decide you want one let me know so I can give you the 10% off discount code.
