Hello all,

My volume up button quit working.

Initially I suspected the frequent Florida rains I subject my to but it's been 4 days dry now, and it's still not working. I took the switch apart - bone dry. I tried increasing the volume while apart but can only do it with a hard push of my fingernail in random spots on the circuit board. All the other switches work fine (volume down, tune up/down, preset & mode).

Before I fork out $150 for a new assembly, has anyone else fixed this problem without replacing the switch assembly with harness? Anything else that may be causing it?

It was probably the rain. Its a known issue that on some Vics the radio and/or cruise control switches get freaky when wet. I cover mine with plastic wrap for washes....or I'll loose my cruise control for a few days after.

I had the same problem last fall, bike sat most of the winter, now this spring it started working again. Crappy cheap garbage switch.
